Roger Pogoy is out for the rest of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals. The TNT gunner told Tiebreaker Times that he suffered a fracture on his right pinky during their eventual Game 3 loss to Barangay Ginebra last Friday. He still showed up for Game 4 Sunday night at the SMART Araneta Coliseum but was […]

Despite that, TNT are shooting well. Even RHJ is making threes, and Montalbo's contributing. I also saw a lineup with more Oftana-Khobuntin-RHJ, sometimes with Oftana and Khobuntin as the 2/3 players. Finally, they're running their version of a positionless lineup, since they have the tools.
Guess that fractured pinky might rule him out for the SEA Games as well.

If Vietnam can take him as their naturalized player in FIBA tournaments that’d be a huge upgrade.

i havent got to watch OKC too much. can Jaylin carry the NT? he's the versatile biggie right?
maybe a combo of him and the juzang bros in SEA games can give all the other countries a run for their moey. i think the older juzang plays in VBL.

        • Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia battle for the runner up finish.

          Philippines will win the gold.

imagine if FIBA gives them an exception like Nigeria

            • FIBA is full of sh*t when it comes to policies and consistency. We should be like Nigeria already if not for the Hagop Rule.

Juzang bros complement each other really well. Christian a 6'2" true PG and Johnny a 6'6" shooter dominated when they played in youth club teams. Then add defensive Williams, who is like a better AJ Edu, and Vietnam suddenly looks dangerous.

                  • Hahah what a dissapointing lineup by vietnam here thinking they are our group mates in prelims
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                    1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Anyone here understands Vietnamese? It seems like even VBA fans were wondering why Christian Juzang was left out of the roster

We need to move on from Pogoy so that’s actually a plus.

No disrespect to him of course.

                        • It seems that the so-called the Redeem Team now has slowly becoming the Joke Team that I’ve coined several years ago about the penchant of SBP of helding serious practices when a critical tournament is just a week or two and several players had to begged off for the meantime because of some personal stuff and only returned when the actual tournament is a just a few days away or some player(s) are out of game shape and will only report for practice a week or two before the actual competition(hello Drey B).
Drop Marcio Lassitter in the final 12, he don’t deserve it, I dunno but if you put it in a normal situation he should already turned down the invitation from the start and not attend any team practices now all of a sudden he needs to fly back home at the States for a week because of some personal stuff and will only return few days before the start of the Cambodia SEA Games.
I only wish the likes of Mason Amos, Phillip brothers, Aaron Black and BGR will be in the final 12 because we really need those young guns to gain experiences in preparation for future tournaments and at the same time those young FIBA ineligibles started to gain enough merits for future exemptions.
How I wish the likes of AK34(MCL and ACL issues?), Xavier Lucero(ACL), Schonny Winston(not informed properly?), Serdric Barefield and Justine Baltazar(not invited to the pool despite they had no club commitments yet?) may somehow be part of the SEA games line-up as well.

Out of the 11 players who showed up on Monday morning, only Marcio Lassiter was not around this time as the SMB sniper had to leave for the US for one week.

                          • The poor attendance in the SEA Games is the reason why the Ravenas are always in consideration. They try hard to be there.

                            • Gilas pooled with Malaysia in SEAG 5-on-5 (tiebreakertimes.com.ph)

The 32nd Southeast Asian Games’ 5-on-5 basketball tournament will revert back to the tournament’s old format of splitting the competing nations into pools.

In the draw held on Tuesday morning, Gilas Pilipinas Men will be slotted with Malaysia, Vietnam, and Myanmar in Pool B.

Meanwhile, defending champion Indonesia headlines Pool A along with Thailand, Singapore, and Cambodia.

Trolls are inutile individuals who want to look like the wiser and the best. But generally their are helpless, weakest and the ugly..Bato bato sa langit ang tamaan guilty.

Only good match up there is Indonesia vs Thailand... Philippines will be top dogs there... I don't see them lose unlike last year... Their line up is better than last year...
