My guess is he is trying to be available for the WC. He was supposed to be part of the 3x3. Not sure why he opted out. But my guess is, 3x3 is harder for a guy with a compromised ACL. He played well against Jordan in limited minutes. Defended Al Dwairi and the paint well enough so Kai could recover in the second half and play better.

Cambodia is legit though. As long as they don't get into foul trouble they can hang with the Thai/indons.

Man, at least the Filipinas (the women's football team) have something to look forward to. They have a clear direction and a clear identity. They got 6 points out of 9 and lost out only because they couldn't score. But they continued their defensive track record of not conceding much. Plus, they at least have clear methods. Defensive team, good counterattacks, and good at free kicks and corners.

Contrast to this Gilas team. Good players, but management holding them back, development-wise and direction-wise. Jeez.

I was counting on that this game, Morgan actually fouled out but I realized that's his role as a rim protector... to give up fouls so that Peterson (who had 4 fouls) and Henderson stay on. I actually like their chances against Indonesia and Thailand.

I am favor of CTab long term plan. No question way better than our situation right now. I was just explaining even CTab system of swing offense will also dry out if we do not have a speed and athleticism advantage of our opponents. Its who we are even with CTab as the coach. We know how much better Serbia is to DR

I think with more training and the addition of other players Tab's team could've been more athletic and stronger than the one against DR. We had a good matchup against Serbia. Without Jokic and some others but that was still Serbia. I think Nenad was already hired by then. Nenad could have given us more options on offense. Athleticism is good. But a good system, with discipline, training and decent homegrown athleticism (with a healthy Kouame) can still beat a DR team in my opinion. But of course this is all hypothetical and we will never know. DR seems to be a better version of this Cambodia team. As of now, I don't see a rotation of Kai, Japeth, JC, Dwight, Scottie, Malonzo and Heading can defeat them.
