AJ and Phillips will really help in WC . , if MVP approached FIBA sec general to lobby for Phillips exception, I think it's really possible, given we are host, and the context of how old Mike moved and acquired citizenship more than 3 years ago.. strong case actually..

Hopefully MVP makes such a move on at least one promising young player before WC ends and SMC officially takes over the MBT.

I think the 2017 Singapore team with the players like Delvin Goh, Russel Low and Wei Long which gave Gilas a run for their money would have beaten this Cambodian Team.

Gilas should seriously consider pulling out of this tournament, especially with their PBA and WC commitments. SMH

Aside from that in the morning schedule the women's game between Vietnam and Indonesia It has 2 injuries. One from Vietnam and 1 from Indonesia. The teams should seriously consider to protest the games until they fixed the floor, the venue. Even the TV broadcast was stopped in the last minute before the start of the game between Indonesia and Vietnam according to the Bong Ro TV commentator.

The box scores suggest nobody from Cambodia can shoot. Those naturalized guys will tire easily if they face Gilas/Indonesia/Thailand then their lack of depth will catch up with them. I can see Gilas exploiting their lack of shooting, lots of long rebounds pushing the pace, by the 4th quarter the linoleum court will have messed up their rhythm. I'll even give Gilas a +25 vs Cambodia.

In other news, the Filipinas are in danger of dropping out of the competition. As of now, we won 3 points in 2 games. We need to win against Vietnam by at least 3 goals to advance to the knockouts.

Score's currently tied 1-1.

The Filipinas won the game 2-1, but drop out of the competition due to goal difference. Vietnam is +4, Myanmar is +3, and we could only manage a +1. We scored 3 goals and conceded 2 and got only 6 points out of it.

Friendly reminder to ASEAN countries, SEAG is not just only football event... This is multi sports event... If they can't handle hosting other sporting event outside football, Don't force themselves to host the event... It will be disgusting to their part, to their country if negative feedback they will receive to other nations who also participating... Countries like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Timor Leste should not give any chance to host SEAG if they don't have other facilities after football... I don't know if Brunei has basketball arena, although i know they are rich country too (due to Oil reserves)...

If i were SBP, I will back out this event... I will not take the risk of players in this kind of facilities... It just only 1 Gold... PHL already prove themselves they are the best in ASEAN region... One more major injury will happen (Hope it's not) will cause doubt of all of participants to continue the competition... If Cambodia doesn't have any real venue then they should scrap the basketball event (Just like Laos did in 2009) rather than use this unstable arena that will cause any major injuries happen... And don't let Cambodia host SEAG again if they have no facilities outside Football... I know they are Football country, But before they will take the hosting rights of this multi sport event, They should be prepared to in the upcoming biggest sporting event in ASEAN region, And SEAG is not just Football competition only... This is not good....

Note, most of the current SEAG gilas players are not even World cup eligible or main pool members LOL , they not risky the world cup availability , they are risking their pro careers (PBA etc) due to possible injury , let's be accurate.
For all intents of purposes this is like " Mighty sports" playing in Dubai invitational or Jones cup .. peace..
