Secondly Geremy didn't have complete requirements before the deadline that's why he didn't play and the Alao you saw in FIBA was an injured one that's why he didn't play this season. Matter of a fact, he just got back to the court days after DLSU's campaign concluded.

Robinson I think played 1 - 2 games, did not really played well but maybe because he is still adjusting with the system or the Philippine style of play.

not going to say who, but a player who wanted to tryout with USTE did not have money to travel to Manila before. someone who was facilitating this tryout, reached out in one of the UST forums to ask for donations just to get him to Manila for get accommodations for max 2 nights and meals for it. some forumers gave money and after 2 weeks said player enrolled. he left a year later but i wanted to pointed it out that people will give just to see their team have a fighting chance. barya lng yun kwento. but think of the more well off alumni. whats a few thousands to help player\s stick to their school? they are not like the SMC or the MVPs who will give millions. and these boosters are not just a handful.WE DON'T COUNT YEARS, WE COUNT CENTURIES

Heard plenty more of rumors and heck if you were close with players, they'd tell you themselves.

DLSU needs a PG who can facilitate the offense well, and shoot well. That's what Nelle, Padrigao, Cagulangan and even Baclaan are. Estacio is a great shooter, but not (yet) a great facilitator. Alao is the opposite.

Thing is Estacio could very well be a good passer but he cant put enough pressure on the defense to make then collapse to make the pass. He cant go north to south with the ball enough and create in the half court . If it improves with getting stronger and getting better handles is all you can hope for. Padrigao is an expert at keeping the dribble alive and finding the angle to pass or shoot. Easily the best young PG prospect

going back to topic, yes, there are boosters who will give some money to the team to get certain players or have extra allowance to keep certain players. why? we can all guess but not all of them have extra curriculum activities in mind.WE DON'T COUNT YEARS, WE COUNT CENTURIES

agree with C2hamm, boosters are not necessarily going for tax breaks or a Jeffrey Epstein/Harvey Weinstein. Some of them just loves the game of basketball.
This motivation separates boosters like Wangs Basketball to John O Juicers (PBL team of former senator John Osmena)Last edited by CoJ; 12-21-2022, 06:54 AM.
