  • Second straight finals Goldwyn got out coached. I am not a fan of his early offense with quick treys. Aldin Ayo and Topex Robinson are also known for their fast paced styles. But with or without advantages on the break their philosophy is still to look for a better shot.

Goldwyn should have put straight Lopez on KQ. But instead opted for a shorter defender like Alarcon and Torres. It allowed KQ to get his game and rhythm to get going by hitting two treys early.

Felicilda was playing well and was the PG when UP held their last lead. When Cagulangan and Cansino came back, UP’s offense sputtered and relinquished UP’s lead for good.

UP got a big dominant guy to go to inside. But still decided to jacked up treys after treys even if their shots are not falling.

DLSU adjusted better and got the right coach for the players they have.

    • And correct me if I'm wrong but does anyone else notice how assistant coach Tom always seems to be doing more coaching?

Nah. Topex clearly does a lot of the coaching. You can tell when someone is advising and when someone is actually doing the strategizing.

been watching Coach Gold’s teams since Tiong Lian league and may ganyan talaga siyang assistant coach. During the tiong Lian League i think it was coach John Sia who is more active on the sidelines

I think game one became fool's gold. Alarcon and Torres was effective against KQ because they used their familiarity with his game to defend him. Playing with him for a long time, they knew his tendencies in when he will shoot and when he will pass. But by game three, KQ figured out that he had the scoring advantage if they were defending him. No need to look for the pass. He just looked to score the whole game and let his passing just naturally occur in moments.

How long will Jonvic and friends realize enough is enough and have Goldwyn hire a foreign drill master..because gold prefers magulang over skilled players

Under Topex and Caloy, the La Salle players developed in their roles. Pretty well done, a.

Hopefully, Policarpio develops further down the line. And they have a lot of open roster spots.

I think sir they also have Coach Toroman as a "consultant" in a smaller capacity?

He was at the venue, he is under the Laos, the Laos also support UP MBT.

                      • As a UP grad, glad the basketball season is over. Too much bullshit over the men's team. Turned me off, especially the backer. Hahahahahahaha.

Looking forward to the football season. Hope we get the championship there again, and for our women to make the finals.

He's calling the shots on defense if im not mistaken. Kaya i think Coach Gold is overrated, offense na nga lang ang handle, cant make the proper adjustments pa in a championship game

Nelle is a perennial choker since his NCAA days, no way that dude is gonna be all of a sudden in control and be a winner. LMAO

How La Salle managed to let Cagulangan walk and replace him with a far inferior player in Nelle is one of the reasons La Salle's program nowhere near Ateneo or UP.
this did not age well OverratedTabBaldwin
