saw a comment in twitter and mikee's community that JD enrolled to a non-uaap school before transferring to UP. thats the loophole I guess.

That loophole just undermined uaap transfer rules, why are they allowing that to happen. We don't know if UP and Cagulangan acted in bad faith when he supposedly enrolled a semester in that unnamed university, knowing he will play for them in the future. If thats allowed then dlsu shouldve had nonoy enrolled in csb for a sem too haha

Does UP have an FSA eligible next season? Is he as tall and as good a defender as Malick? If not, they might have problems next year. Just look at Ateneo without Kouame. Is Mike Philipps graduating? If not, he should use this off season to extend his range and/or develop some moves under the basket.

Udodo from Guang Ming, not as tall as Diouf. It’s Agunanne (DLSU’s incoming FSA) who is the same height as Diouf.

Mike Phillips is a true junior in college. He has repeatedly said that he will finish his studies in DLSU so definitely he will be there next year.

honestly, i don't know what to make of up's run in the last 5 seasons, true 4 finals appearances on paper seem impressive but with only 1 title to show for doesn't that seem underwhelming?

especially if you take into account that they were the favorites for season 85 and this season, ok maybe if lucero didn't go down last year then they probably would've swept ateneo but still .... remember during the season when they won it all, they needed a lucky 3 from cansino to send the game to ot and then another 3 from cagulangan to break a tied game for the win.

They were peg to fight for a title and they did. What would be underwhelming is if they didnt get into a final 4.
disappointing, sure. But not underwhelming. Its not like they got blown out last 2 games.

Bahay should just go to ateneo, they could use a point guard lol, his pals gamber and mason are already there, not to mention his ateneo de cebu teammates plus all the PG minutes he can have. Beside's its been proven that talent alone on a stacked team cant win you a championship, why not learn from one of the best coaches to ever do it in the uaap while he's still there. This game pretty much shows how overrated coach gold is anyways, besides not calling the shots on defense, doesnt make necessary adjustments leading to questionable playcalling. Imagine not winning it all with that stacked team geez.

For sure, this is for the champsionship, if something's clearly not working, he has to adjust on the fly. They were already doing pretty good attacking the paint, they didnt need to shoot 3's, not to mention la salle finished the game not shooting very well at just 33% from the field overall

Thanks! I must admit, I was critical of Razon for giving that ultimatum before the season...but it worked.

The pressure kept Topex focused the whole season and he out-coached Gold in the finals.

In terms of pure talent, game 1 showed how far UP was but when adjustments came DLSU pulled through. UP wanted to run and gun against everyone so they can give playing time to most of their players. DLSU went along and kept running with them. This made UP not take advantage of their inside edge.

And KQ put an exclamation on his mvp season. He reminded his former high school teammates that he was their Alpha then and now.
