Them dudes use the UAAP for connections in the PBA. Hawaii isn’t as small as it’s portrayed to be. It’s an even smaller community of players in that PBA circle and part of it are those UAAP scouts who liked them enough to take them out of their D2 benchwarmer misery. I still find it amazing how people in 2023 insist on that student-athlete bullshit, unable to see PBA written on a young player’s forehead.
