Instead it being a teaching moment for boys, ang nangyari pa tuloy it discredited not only ateneo's efforts but his boys as well, not to mention big disrespect to uaap, and gives fuel to the fire for the haters pa. Ang nangyayari tuloy, whenever ateneo or big budget schools win against small budget schools like them, lagi na lang may sambit na luto raw against them. Toxicity at its finest.
my ncaa friend, doesn't he remind you of a certain coach over at the ncaa right now? ahahahaha

      • Anyone saw that momowei unspo against dlsu last sunday? Was the call correct? Seems like people are now making a fuss about it now that he's suspended im their game against ateneo. With that suspension, he'll be disqualified for any awards as well. Just now UE pres zosimo battad has resigned from the uaap as chairman of the board.

          • UE just lost to ADMU and knocks them out of the final four. UE’s title drought extends to 38 years.

UP just broke their 36-year title drought last year. While Adamson is currently on a 45-year title drought.

              • chicco is quite for real..the combination of chicco and belmonte as wings is more gilas like than alarcon and cansino..Since Aldous is more of a utility slashing wing, you can convert him as a moonlighting point guard
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

He's quite slow on defense, as shown in that DLSU game. Hard to gauge talent against a team like UST were even UP's third unit could probably get the W.

he was defending albeit unsuccessfuly kq on la salle game so up is slowly integrating him.. and the problem for up is they need to have more weapons if they want to dispatch ateneo early and beat la salle (whichever comes first)

Watched live. That call was correct. It was a hard above the shoulder hit to KQ’s face. Going for the ball, but intent isn’t factored into unsportsmanlike foul calls anyway.

Based on Jack Santiago’s presscon remarks, simply put, Battad resigned because their petition to get the foul downgraded to a regular one wasn’t granted. He was also complaining that the suspension was formalized late yesterday — shouldn’t be an issue in my opinion since two unsportsmanlike fouls have always merited an automatic one-game suspension. Curiously, that wasn’t observed in Cagulangan’s and Alarcon’s cases (they both committed two UFs in the S85 finals series, but weren’t suspended)… but hey, I digress.

We just dont want a very difficult path for the title imo, although La Salle really is tough and we really need taht twice to beat advanatge against either of the two..

Oh. If true, the non-immediate application of automatic suspenses for Cagu and Alarcon should be reexamined. It should be the game after the 2nd unspo foul was called to make application of the rule uniform and without doubt.

This was the explanation of the UAAP, from Rappler’s Naveen Ganglani’s post: JD Cagulangan wasn’t suspended in UP’s first game this season following his unsportsmanlike foul in G3 of the S85 Finals because it wasn’t decided/announced by the prior commish in the 48 hour span after the game took place, which is a league rule.

No explanation about Alarcon, which I will assume means one of those unspo fouls called on him was downgraded? That’s the only reason I can think of.

Now, I’ve been watching the UAAP since before the rule on suspensions after committing 2+ unspo fouls was even implemented in 2013. I’ve never heard of that 48-hour period. The UAAP should really just release its rulebook to the public. It would reduce speculations about things like this.
