Nash Racela was wearing a smile on his face during his team’s post-game press conference after Adamson University’s crucial 62-58 loss to Ateneo de Manila University that might have changed the complexion of the UAAP Season 86 Men’s Basketball Final Four. However, his expression concealed anger and frustration. Racela expressed strong emotions about his belief […]
Nash is going beyond hitting the reffing. He even implies that the UAAP is complicit in determining the results of the games. What a sore loser.
I'd have to rewatch the game, but if you look at the 15 freethrows in the 4th, 4 were from deliberate fouls in the end, and I think 2 came from the unsportsmanlike foul (elbow to the throat of Obasa).
Reminds me of the time when one of the Pumarens in UE griped about Ateneo and Kiefer getting lots of freethrows. But if you watched the game, they padded the number of freethrows by committing 4 intentional fouls resulting to 8 more freethrows at the end when the game was already out of reach. In the following games, refs overcorrected and Ateneo got the short end of the calls.

My Most Improved Player award goes to Kevin Quiambao. The 3 ball, the ballhandling and the conditioning, all has significantly leveled up.
The MIP award obviously takes the backseat compared to the MVP plum. But to me it is significant, if only to get the message out there that one should never stop finding ways to improve his game, even if you already are a bonafide star to begin with.Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.
