  • UP now trying the big lineups. Combos of Pablo and either Gagate or Alter, and then lining up Lopez and Torculas at 3, and now lining up Chicco Briones at 2.

    It's almost a FIBA lineup.

Letran, Benilde, Mapua, EAC, and Baste have lots of moments of physical altercation, one way or another.

      • First time seeing UP with a line up where anyone could start for other teams. Jeez.

Not csb tho lol, they're the ones pa nga being branded as soft by other fans eh haha. NCAA is just more physical than UAAP, but if you look past that, level of play have increased, escpecially this year with lots of newly hired coaches having pro experience before, while beda and csb also hired consultants in norman black and rajko toroman. Not having FSA's still suck tho.

Why just UAAP & NCAA just combine and formed a biggest collegiate/university ala US NCAA? Also include some universities in the provinces....

            • UP with a 31-point destruction of UST. The biggest margin of victory so far this year. Briones, Belmonte, and Pablo coming off the bench for UP but they would be starters for other teams. That's how scary deep this team is.

              • I dont understand why Ateneo is playing Espinosa more than Gamber, isnt he a prized recruit then why are they benching him?

I don't get tab's allure in him either. He's undersized even as pg, so defensively he's already a liability. When it comes to handling the offense, he hasnt been a solid playmaker and seems to have trouble reading defenses. Shooting is okay but if that's the only thing he gives them, they wont make it far with him. He's like the lite version of eman monfort. Im all for giving big minutes to gab gomez and have gamber get the rest.

                  • My choice for main point guard would be Gomez. I don't understand why he can't play even 5-10 minutes when nieto is consistently part of the rotation. Does that have a height cutoff for guard? He often plays 2 out of espinosa, nieto, and brown who are all very short guards.

                    • Admu got like 5 Pg’s and brown is the only one who’s been playing well

UST was better off with Jinino Manansala as their coach, still dont understand why UST replaced him with an inexperienced coach in Bal David. Jarencio has no set plays he just implements that 5 man out offense that he used to run in Northport but he was lucky enough to have had talented players like Bolick, Malonzo, Standhardinger and Slaughter that helped him get some wins

Very much agree with Jinino. He's been doing a great job at St. Clare. And he's an Ayo guy so he could've probably kept some of Ayo's recruits. Stevens was also a Jinino recruit.

legacy thing as bal david was a popular PG during his ust and pba days, while jinino rode the pine. but yeah should have kept jinino ,

though i thought he was still part of the tiger cubs’ program
