Ball movement is great but their opponent makes them shoot a 3pts and they don't make it s going to be long night
Agree most the team's composition this season are outside shooters. Once the guy in the post gets the ball, hakuoh knows that ateneo will kick out most of the time. Credit to Hakuoh' pressure D making it more difficult. Only guy i can think of thats like that could be gamber down the line. He does need to bulk up a little.

      • unlikely for ateneo but they got defeated with pesky defense. japan knows how to play smallball. also it doesnt help ateneo seems to be having an off game. i bet if theres a second game ateneo would win.

It might be closer but it doesn’t negate the fact that Ateneo doesn’t have shot creators. This Ateneo team has size but the not necessarily the athleticism or individual shot creation of previous teams. Haven’t been following so don’t know what happened but Padrigao in my opinion is a loss since he was someone who could create for the team.

          • Ateneo is just another college team of amateurs. It made lots of silly mistakes against the japanese, as the university of sydney did against ateneo. They are definitely not in a fiba tournament.

                • The difference between D1 small guards and Uaap small guards is big.

Looks like he lost his spot. He should just move to CSB.

                    • Dalph Panopio to Ateneo? There are rumors about that. But some say that it's his younger brother who tried out.

CSB point guards are loaded for Season 100. Serving residency are Gab Cometa (San Beda), Jhomel Ancheta (CEU) and the promising Ian Torres (ICC). Eligible and lined up for Season 99 is Jericho Jalalon (younger brother of Jio).

agree. i only saw 3Q vs radford. ADMU was able to give their shooters open looks. they just didnt make a lot of the shots. in line with what you said, they did not go in too much even if the little they did, they were able to execute. nstill did not make a lot but you can see their confidence going inside is quite low.

Hopefully if Sage Tolentino doesn't get playing time on his 2nd year, he might also re-think his future and come to PH. What a waste of not getting a passport before 16. He got both Kai and Coach Tab convincing him to get a passport but still didn't. What a shame, he probably regrets now as after he turned 16....Thirdy went to Japan and the rest is history.

                            • This is what I've been saying for a while now. Ateneo is extremely lucky to have the GOAT FSA in Ange Koume, who is actually a world-class center. Obasa simply isn't that kind of FSA and this is the reason Ateneo is going to have a tough time this year.

Please Chot focus on Gilas! and always remember that no matter what you achieved in this World Cup, nothing will cover up the embarrassment of the brawl that you caused.
