Definetely, marcos is arguably benilde's best defensive player, on par with flores and sangco. While davis is an undersized post up only big who's nearly unplayable due to questionable basketball IQ, charles tiu just uses him when they need toughness on the court. Lepalam naman for his size is kinda soft, lots of guys shorter than him beat him at the boards, not to mention really slow, so even with both guys still have atleast a year left, i'm not expecting either to return next year.

    • What went wrong for CSB was Gozum. The team played without him the entire preseason and only committed late. It pushed backwards their chemistry. And when Gozum played, his mind looks like it’s somewhere else. Constantly complaining to the referees and to his coaches about the non-calls and physical plays.

What also went wrong was Charles Tiu. In this crucial final four game, I did not see any targeted and set plays for Gozum until the second half. No matter how inconsistent Gozum played in the elims, Tiu should have at least made efforts to involve the reigning MVP in offense. Gozum looked like a role player in this final four game. Instead of a go-to-guy in offense.

      • If not for the final stint last year, people wouldnt forget that Benilde had a walking mismatch in aj benson playing for them
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
        1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Us in the community didnt even consider gozum coming back so its true when you say it pushed back their chemistry. But if im being honest, i thought it was a bonus for the team when he anounced his return. Thought we'll be getting the mvp will gozum we had last year. The team was set to be the two miggy's team this year before he told the team he was coming back. As for charles tiu and the coaching staff, they were calling plays for will, its just that mapua's defense was solid pressuring the guards that it end ups being a broken play and the guards having to do things themselves, which i dont agree with as they should have passed to gozum and have him take those last shots which are high percentage compared to desperation heaves in the perimeter.

Sayang he was one and done, not to mention gutang who didnt use up his final season of eligibility in season 97. That team with gutang would've made it to the final 4 and make things interesting haha

Congrats to them and Escamis is hands down MVP - ROY. Hope he turns pro after this season and get the bag.
Please dont risk it like Lastimosa
Same sentiments i think this is Mapua’s year. Malaking partida pa nga struggling si Toby Agustin.

when it comes to Escamis i think he will return for atleast one more season. Gut feel lang naman hehehe.

Tho expect more inputs from rajko for next year especially with most of his boys team b going up to team A
He definitely is close with the Lao’s. I think season 100 is his judgement year.

Quite an OT, Coach TY is already in the country right? I thought he left Canada for good.

Or will escamis join the SJK in mpbl?

Feels like a mix of someone too good for the NCAA and young prospects that might not be ready

Caloy Garcia may make sense but he is with DLSU and not the Laos at the moment.
If i’m not mistaken. LA Revilla is under UE seniors not juniors and with the LT Group not with the Strong Group. Correct me if i’m wrong.

Yup season 100 is his make or break year. Imo he has to perform talaga if he dreams on being ateneo head coach someday. If what i heard is true, ayo in coverge is also facing a make or break year by next season too. So a coaching reshuffling might be in the works, with ayo possibly taking the benilde job(still need clearance for ncaa i think for it to push through), while charles will go to converge as lead assistant while they hire somebody outside the strong group umbrella as converge hc.

As for TY Tang, yup he and his family i believe is here for good na, opened up a basketball school too if im not mistaken, he might join the converge staff too if charles tiu gets moved there.

Yup LA Revilla is not with Strong Group, its Karl Santos thats with the group. Tho there's a pipeline being set for ue when it comes to recruits coming from eog, phenom and the strong group towards their seniors team. Precious momowei is an example of that being phenom boy himself.

IMO i think its too early to give Coach Ayo his pink slip. He was supposed to coach Beda right? (Talking about Coach Ayo) so i think hindi siya naka pasa sa Mancom

I think it would depend if Mapua wins the chip for him to try his luck overseas. MPBL might be an option but he is a hot commodity especially if he wins MVP (which he most likely will)

We'll see, if converge continues to struggle this year, he might be in the hot seat sooner rather than later. Saka gov delta also has a say rin for converge, so he might put one his guys in.

Yup he was supposed to go to beda, thats why they'll need clearance from the ncaa for it to work. If he doesnt pan out allen ricardo is another solid option from the sga umbrella.
