Do you think Jericho Cruz can defend Lish? What i know Cruz a decent defender in the Philippines league (PBA)... Let's see if Guam and Thailand will collide next Pre qualifiers window... Guam didn't make good impression there.. They have to be better than that....

For me, Guam is lucky that Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore are also qualified to the second round.

I see Guam will have a hard time against Thailand (w/ Lish, Morgan, Lamb, Jakrawan and Klahan) and Mongolia (bootleg Korea).

What is the name of Mongolia's best prospect? If he plays then i think they will be in level of current Kazakhstan, Taipei, KSA and Bahrain... What i know he's currently playing in US NCAA....

Dayton's Mike Sharavjamts. I'm not sure if he's eligible though.

I saw some of his highlights... He can be a good impact player right now in Mongolia nat'l team, same as what Derrick Micheal of Indonesia and Kai Sotto of Philippines... But he's not yet NBA caliber, just like the two.... As for his eligibility, He's born in Mongolia, right? It means he's local eligible...

Sharavjamts is homegrown, got discovered by NCAA scouts (ala Arvin Tolentino) while playing for their U18 FIBA 3x3 team

I hope we'll see Sharavjamts join the senior Mongolian NT soon. They've got a bunch of long and athletic forwards (6'6-6'7) already as what I've seen in their games in the pre-qualifiers. Maybe a good coach and a couple of legit bigs would make them a really competitive team at the Asian level 3 years from now.

                    • This is the Mongolian team that in the recently-concluded pre-qualifiers:

                      Tserenbaatar Enkhtaivan - 6'7 32
                      Enkhbaatar Onolbaatar - 6'7 27
                      Urnuunbileg Sanchigdan - 6'6 36
                      Bilguun Battuvshin - 6'6 33
                      Anand Ariunbold - 6'6 25
                      Enkhbayasgalan Amarbayasgalan - 6'5 25
                      Temuujin Ariunbold - 6'4 30
                      Dulguun Enkhbat - 6'4 30
                      Sanchir Tungalag - 6'3 33
                      Boldbaatar Ben Erdene - 6'2 26
                      Ulzii Myagmarsuren - 6'0 21
                      Sergelen Otgonbaatar - 5'11 33

                      Average height: 6'4
                      Average age: 29

Pretty tall team. Comparatively faster. Loves to move the ball and pretty decent at the perimeter.

One con here is their age, especially at the frontline.

Still young, can play together for 5 more years together as a team, and with that guy from Dayton will play for Mongolia in the future tournaments, another country that can put up a fight in Asian basketball in the future… look how tough east asia region is that.. you have Oceania powerhouse Australia and New Zealand then traditional powerhouse japan, Korea, Philippines and China… that is 6 out of 8 east region spots already.. Taiwan, Guam, Indonesia, Thailand and now Mongolia will need to fight each other to take the last two spots in east region… if those latter team mentioned put in the west region, all of them can qualify easily… in west, the powerhouse teams only are Iran, Lebanon and Jordan, while KSA and Bahrain are west dark horse teams, then that’s it.. I lost respect to Kazakhstan anyway, if they move on the east region side, they can’t make it to qualify in the fiba Asia cup… same as india and Syria…

Mongolia coach I think good… it just they don’t have a guy can match up against elite players Morgan and Lish… before the tournament, they were unranked team in FIBA… they did a good job hiding the weaknesses of sanchir’s poor defender by hiding him on defensive end…

Hoping for more success on Mongolia basketball, from Nat'l team prospective or their grassroots program....

"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
