I hope all of us had already move on the JJ kid storyline, the kid deserved to be in that line-up. Besides coach Pat and his coaching staff may somehow convince and tap his younger sister to play for the coming FIBA Asia U16.

If only SBP knows how to take some advantage as far as tapping the best talent in youth division, I think contacting Vyc Miller and family to somehow arrange some meeting if they are interested to be part of the Gilas program now that the kid wasn’t selected on the latest US under-16 tourney. Same with Dylan Harper and his family..at least Jayden Harper was convinced to come over and played from this year’s NBTC tourney and show the lad what is Philippine basketball is all about, hoping he already gotten his PH Passport days after(?) his 16th birthday.

With school year 2022-23 comes to an end in the coming weeks I hope the likes of FIlam Nation Select of coach Alex Cabaggie and some our kababayans from the States may sponsor those kids and family to come visit the country and convince them to watch some games of the World Cup this coming August. As for the SBP, I think if they drumming up that first day matches at the Phil Arena I think this is the best opportunity to market the event to our kababayans in the States to come visit the countrt, certainly with the help of the Dept. of Tourism they could somehow arrange some very enticing package. If they are seriously enough to fill the rafters of the Arena and broke the old record then I think this is a good marketing strategy..diba Mr. Al Panlilio and Mr. Ricky Vargas kasi yan naman talaga specialty nyo eh.

all the discoveries will go to waste with that living loser Josh Reyes handling the kids.

It's a good sign if he can already dunk. There are only a handful of born 2008 local players who can dunk.

We really need to add some length in our 1 and 2 position because scouting for a 7'3 Kai Sotto and 6'11 AJ Edu prootype nowadays are like searching a needle in a haystack nowadays, maybe 6'7 to 6'9 kids manning our 4 and 5 position for the coming FIBA U16 tourney are more realistic.

Just saw the full clip of the tune-ups between BGU16 team and Letran squires and boy, we're screwed. Our bigs are only around 6'4-6'5 and aren't really that mobile and athletic, no decent rim protector, nada. Saw maybe around 3 to 4 decent players but the rest are really just not batang gilas material. Kieffer Alas looks to be the leader of this team. Huge downgrade from our recent BGU16 team in terms of length, athelticism and overall talent, not unless some fil-for reinforcements will join the team. Very slim chance we'll make it to final 4.

As far as I know, not yet. US-based Edryn Morales who've also participated in the tryouts also hasnt joined the team yet. Hopefully there will be few tall wings and bigs that has yet to join.

That 6'9 15 y/o Calanasan kid should be at least part of the pool.
