And remember these seniors have already tested the NBA waters in earlier drafts , ( entered and withdrew due to lack of interest), Kai essentially tested the waters in 2021 then found a loophole to defer and was forced to enter in 2022 , if he had a choice he would defer in 2022 and 2023 as there is still very little interest

Well most of them can be had for 2nd draft picks or some even go undrafted. Why would any team waste their FRP on people they can use their 2nd round picks on or they can sign them outright as FAs? They have to play smart with their assets.. smart teams do this.

      • And here is the thing if 1 of only 2 available two way contracts per season per team is allocated to a late pick last year .and one is reserved for a 2nd pick this year , then there is no two way available left for any FA....

          Wembayama averaged 6.5 points (2FG: 37.3%, 3FG: 30.3%), 3.8 rebounds, and 5.5 PIR in 13 EuroLeague games last season.
So Far he is dominating an inferior league like the French league.

In his home country of France, Wembanyama played for Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 in LNB Pro A, the top level of basketball in the country. In 33 games during his 2022-23 season, he averaged: 21.6 points per game. 10.5 rebounds per game.

          One word. LOL

Hopefully the Spur use the motion offense again.

            • Expect Kings will further improve their play- off standing next year.. Vezenkov who I think will win Euroleague MVP this season reportedly will join Sabonis and Fox. I think they will unload Harrison Barnes paving more minutes for Sasha… and I believe Barnes will be a decent target for coach Pop as one of the pieces to surround Wemby.

              • The rumor is Spurs are looking to trade up (using their loaded draft capital) for a PG , 13th to 17th 2023 pick.

They will be patient and will grow organically. And may target White's return as a FA in 2025. ( when Wemby are further developed to hopefully All star level)

Spurs are focused on a defensive identity (a Pop thing), with Wemby and Sochan leading the defensive foundation.

And the Celtics performance was a disgrace. Man, how do you play that lackadaisical?

Credit to the Heat for playing like mad dogs and playing well within their roles. Martin stepped up BIG.
