    • John Stockton claims a thousand athletes might have died from vaccine

John Stockton appeared on Sideline Sanity podcast where he claimed that the number of athletes that have died from COVID vaccine he said back in January was too small at the time. He now says a thousand professional athletes might have died because of it.

Almost a year ago, NBA Hall of Famer John Stockton made headlines by claiming that around 150 athletes had died from the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Utah Jazz legend now went on Michele Tafoya’s podcast Sideline Sanity where he explained his views both at that time and now.

"I got it from a lot of places, otherwise I would have never had the confidence to share it. That's the beauty of it," Stockton said about the stat he mentioned in his interview. "I have quite a system that I go through before I open my mouth, especially with statistics, and I knew that at that time 150 was dramatically low. I thought it was in the area of 300."

"When I went and spoke at the Spokesman-Review, we had a nice interview and they asked that, and whatever factchecker.org or whatever dot com came out and said 'that's baloney', I went back and looked again," he told.

After sharing his thoughts about the interview from the past, he now explained his claims in greater detail.

"I have names, pictures, faces, where they played, I had over 300 at that time, so I felt pretty secure with my little 150," Stockton said. "People had to come out and argue that, and I had the proof in my hands, a piece of paper with their names."

"It's way more than that now. I think it's in the thousands now but don't quote me on that one," the NBA legend told. "I don't say a thousand but it might be, it's a big number."

When Stockton first claimed it, the statement was quickly determined to be false.

poor sabonis, but he’ll be named an all star by coaches anyway

                    • Is a big Free agent signing like Sabonis better than a traditional center like Ayton or Gobert , it seems to me the former stetch bigs are more valuable in today's NBA ,
I'm thinking which Player the Spurs should pursue with all their cap space , they can also trade Jakob..

Well, this is still popularity contest... LBJ, KD, Curry are the most popular players in NBA and top 20 famous athletes in the world today.... Even they will be out for a season, they will be voted because they are well known...

                        • The Los Angeles Lakers have a perfect 10-day contract signing at the perfect time thanks to their old friends, the San Antonio Spurs.

true, and having a big market helps, despite having a losing record LAL has 4 players in the top vote getters list, same with the entire GSW starting lineup. luckily the bench is voted by coaches or else we'll be seeing a terrible all star game year-in year-out

kinda, you need to build a roster around a traditional center to make things work, very reason why the Timberwolves are struggling right now while Phx's offense is not centered on Ayton. Sabonis on the other hand, is mobile, versatile and has range, and can be easily be inserted in any type of lineup
