PBA/SBP ought to be careful with this approach/gaslighting, it could further alienate their thinning fanbase! Specially that it appears that players are now after the booing fans

Chot made the shallow excuse that Kib and Pogoy were willing to train wo a guaranteed slot thats why they were there picked when slots opened up. Pogoy has been tearing up the PBA but its been obvious for a while now he is not good internationally.

So I cant swallow the excuse that the reason why Pogoy was chosen over WC hero Perez is that because he is willing to not have a guaranteed slot.

Are we Pinoys that much of a prima donna that one of the first changes Chot made after taking over from Tab was guaranteeing slots? Are we that shallow that we will not practice wo a guaranteed slot?

Whether its the PBA, SBP or Chots fault, the result is Chot chose his player who has been subpar internationally for a while now over one who performed better in the greatest stage. Its hard not to think Chot was playing favorites. After Pogoys egg of a performance it is but normal for fans to question his inclusion. So with Kib also. Is he really the best available PG we have?

We still guarantee slots. I don't think we get someone like Clarkson if we didnt. And of course Chot has favorites like Kib. As if Tab didnt have Mike Nieto. Partly because of familiarity.

I do think Chot has done poorly enough to be fired. But the level of toxicity is one that will obviously receive backlash from people that work with Chot. Basketball is a banal thing to get riled up about so feelings like anger or hatred are I believe misplaced.

We are talking about the PBA players defending Chot here right?

Halata boss... LA Tenorio, Marc Pingris, CTC, Belga, etc.... defended Chot against hatred fans... While all of them were silent when Tab's 2021 team working well in international competition....

Nothing wrong with players defending their coach. Clarkson, Dwight, Pingris and Kelly have good relations with Chot. That’s why it’s natural for them to defend their coach (Chot).

For Tab, you have his ex ADMU players supporting him thru social media hashtags #BEBOB.

There are other instances where players do the opposite and criticize their coach. Like ex UST players Cansino and Bataller how they were not properly cared for by coach Aldin Ayo in the Sorsogon bubble.

Every player has the right to express themselves whether it is against fellow players, coaches or team management.

Let’s not twist the support of the players to their coaches (Tab and Chot) as having being choreographed and not voluntary. Its the players right to express their support for a particular individual.

Yeah... Most of the fans putting this one an issue... Tinawanan pa yung statement ni Pingris that "1 week preparation is not enough" even that it's true and fact... Even Tab will not like that 1 week preparation...

If you watch CTab coaches clinic in UAE, you will know how important preparation is to him.
