Get someone like a Navarro or a Lucero.

Originally posted by IPC View PostFor the past few trades, SMB have been getting any big name but that tall wing who can defend and do the dirty work. That has been their biggest need for the past few years. Now, they're qualified to a competition where those wings could be really needed.

As for his injury, I think he'll return in September or October at the earliest. It's an ACL tear.

The big question now is how the PBA will adjust its eligibility rule considering that Brownlee is now a naturalized Filipino. I'm sure SMC(Ginebra in particular) wants JB to play in All-Filipino Conference. Or the league will reformat it's setup?
The difference between the case of Douthit and Blatche, they were associated with the MVP group and JB is with the SMC....

Tall SFs have generally not been useful in the Philippine setting because of the extreme phyisicality allowed. Laterals and dribbling skill become useless if your are mugged everytime you drive in the paint. But if calls were like in game 7 they will allow the Malonzos to thrive and actually help Philippine basketball develop to the modern era.
