Actually, Northport was really good during that game. They almost got them. Northport could have been really good if they want to.

As to Converge, I think that it was more of BAD slacked off from guarding the perimeter. I cannot say that BAD struggled that game. It was BAD that led the whole game.

this is what the pba lacks, exposure to international competition, the threat of being embarrassed by BAD (like BWB) forced teams to step up, particularly on perimeter defense which for the previous seasons, just a gimme for pba teams since most of them shoot horrendously from the 3.

This stat doesn't get anyone excited.

The only take away on this game is that Kai and wasser sports need to be proactive before Kai falls even farther on the 36ers player rotation.

Whatever it is they do it's obvious that Kai's career will soon be forgotten in Philippine basketball history like Japeth and Kobe.

Hype is dying, playing time decreased substantially and CJ remains kalbo haha

        • based on yeshkel yt channels analysis it seems kai has not really improved in his defense. his 3pt also still not reliable. if after his NBL season he is still the same then i'll probably assume that he has hit his ceiling at this point and i'll probably rest my hope that he will make it in the NBA. but still doesnt take away he is the best big man PH has produced and im still gonna be proud of him. id be happy if he makes it to Euroleague or CBA or BLeague or Korean League or if he gets an extension in NBL.

Why don't you tell us how outdated the plays of PBA.
Chot Reyes was the runner up in the last Phil Cup. Which means he bested 10 other teams, and it's not like he has the best roster in the PBA. Meanwhile this is the same Chot who can't compete internationally since 2014 and who Indonesia beat with a high school kid in their roster.

It's not simple hating. Chot can copy any play internationally all he wants, that doesn't mean he's on par with them. Stop being so bilib in our own coaches, we've stagnated for decades on end and Tab was right. Filipino basketball needs a shakeup. If players can have imports and we love them, then coaches need imports too.

I already said I wasn't watching this current season? Lol, hanggang highlights lang ako for this season. Refuse to give that pitiful league my time.

            • November FIBA qualifier is on 11 and 14.

NBL games is November 5 and will return November 17.

No NBL games during the week of FIBA qualifier games.

Wasser sport needs to act right now.

Ask 36ers to borrow Kai for November window.

Exciting to see the trio of Kai-koume-japeth.

Expectedly Kai will be utilised heavily during these windows.

Para buhay ulit hype train of Kai haha.

              • I already called this situation before the season started. If this is Kai's last NBL season then so be it. Politics has truly screwed our kid over, both local and international.

We do have some local coaches with upside. Charles Tiu, Goldwin Monteverde, Aldin Ayo. Heck, even Jeff Napa of NU and Jack Santiago of UE show some promise tactically. I do agree though that we need some foreign coaches as mentors.

So its not outdated. If they execute it then they are not outdated.

I only want to know the point of view of a person who see thw PBA being outdated. Like how I discuss the matter of close outs of PBA teams with IPC. Thats all.

I also echo what other decorated coach has said about PBA coaches like Rajko, Goorjian. I see the plays and they are not outdated.

I honestly believe that one factor for the rise of Middle Eastern countries like Iran, Jordan & Lebanon in Asian basketball is the presence of foreign coaches in their respective domestic leagues, as well as their practice of allowing foreign coaches to handle their respective national teams.

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Hopefully, Kai gets a contract with a developmental program in Europe, since finances are not a problem anymore and he is already turning 21 by May next year (he probably wants more indepence from his family), maybe get a 2 to 3 years contract, by then he'll peak at around 24 to 25 years old and we'll see his ceiling by then.

Is it politics or greed? It's still too early and a lot of things could happen like injuries or call ups but I don't think he'll be back with Adelaide after his contract is up.

exactly, give it at least 10 games before making conclusions. if he makes an improvement over last season then i think that's great whether it's good enough for the nba or not

This sub likes to press the panic button very early.

I'd rather let the season finish before I make my final call.
