I hope other asian league and other mid tier european league will open its door for our players, turkish league , israeli league , i remember Pringle, Cstan, Eric Menk , even Matthew Wright were among the players who played in europe before playing in the PBA
Depends on what kind of player you are. If you're a really talented guard, then you'll get opportunities, whatever league. The PBA has produced talented guards.

However, when it comes to tall wings like Oftana, Navarro, and Malonzo, or tweeners like Balti, you need to be in the right situtation in the PBA to develop properly into your international position, like Ferrer and Arvin playing 3 in Ginebra and NorthPort, Malonzo as a tweener in NorthPort, and Oftana playing 3 with Yeng. The lack of size in some teams, and some coaches using just height to determine position, might mean that Oftana and Navarro-like players might play 4, and Balti might have to play as a traditional 5 instead of as a tweener. These types might have a better chance of playing their natural positions in SoKor and even Japan due to the presence of imports.

If guards, any league. If tall wing or tweener, better abroad (outside SEA). Plus, availability for windows is more likely.

We'll see if Roosevelt Adams gets used as a stretch big this time.

Apparently KBL officials aren't satisfied with Belangel.

My guess is as good as yours.

Its still preseason so too early to judge. But Im guessing Belangel had an advantage because of his familiarity with Tabs system and playing with Kouame. He took advantage of Kouames gravity to make his plays.

I wasnt impressed by both in Gilas. Belangel seemed the steadier guy. RJ looked at times to be more talented but was too risk taking for the role. We'll see in the real games if he can lead his team to wins.

Still haven't heard anything about Rhenz Abando though. He's the player I'm looking forward to the most out of all the pinoy imports in KBL. His style of play fits the Korean style of basketball, a very good movement shooter plus he's probably more athletic than almost all local guards in the KBL.

                        • Kai's dribbling abilities are too pedestrian -- dont expect him to have killer crossovers. He also doesnt have the footwork and crafty feints to free himself for easy buckets. His minor improvements in strength and athleticism did improve his game.

He needs to be a physical improvement rat. Gym athleticism work and skills drills perfected over a five-day a week, 12-16 hours of dedicated and focused work is his only ticket left to the nba. That kind of physically perfecting discipline will turn him at least into a defensive monster -- something all coaches want for 10-20 minutes a game. He can content himself to boring but very aggresive inside attacks that require strength and over 250lb of muscles more than skills. There are extremely few players anyway with the tools to stop a 7'2 strong center without fouling anyway.

He looks stupid on the floor because he is trying to come up with showcase moves. Beating his opposing guard to a pulp with rebounds, hard body bumps, and humiliation blocks within 5 feet of the rim is all he ever has to do.

That is, he doesnt need to exceed the journeyman skills of his father. He just needs the athleticism and focus on easy 12 rebounds, ten quick-attack points and ten shot-harassments for a 15-minute game. That kind of very steady output is achievable for him. That is nba-worthy already.

At this time, the reality is he is too irritating to watch. A 7'2 hammerman -- which can physically humiliate a greek freak -- is all that he has to be. F*ck the nba scouts' attention and reports -- he never needed them.

He must try to stop showing off his alleged abilities. He must show the pain and humiliation the other team will experience because he is the coaches' rabid dog who fully understands he is there to kill the opposition. All nba teams with a steady rabid dog became champions. No kaiju destroyed the world with its slick or finesse moves.

So what if he becomes the nba's most boring player? In basketball, boring is very good. It means the opposing teams can't come up with winning surprises. This happens to be the same problem of gilas national teams. They cant bore to death first class national teams.

He only had 2 fga and made 2, what would you expect, that he will score 10+ points in 2 fga?

Never mind Kai’s stats. More importantly Adelaide won. Nick Marshall led Adelaide with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
