  • Loyalty and debt of gratitude my @ss

Rosario, sources told me, had an offer to play in the Japan B.League last August when his contract was about to expire.. He would have been paid $25,000 a month for three years.

Troy stiff-armed the foreign courtship and instead signed a three-year extension with TNT worth around $13,000 a month.

    • Lol even Jawato is probably better than him now and he is a bench warmer, something happened to Rosario and his best days are behind him.

probably reached his peak already and is already on the decline, Plus he became complacent in TNT

I keep saying this, but TNT's not a good destination for developing players. Should have been a 3-and-D tweener forward, e, in addition to his rebounding amd cutting.

To be fair, we didn't exactly have an idea of the concept of tall (6'6"-6'8") tweeners in 2015-17.

yep, as MPIC's flagship, any player they get is expected to contribute right away and compete for the title similar to SMB, atleast BGSM were able to develop Skati, Caperal, Mariano, Tolentino.

I hope Oftana will not be relegated as a stretch 4

S.J. Belangel is the Filipino player who is playing less than expected in the KBL practice game. The Head coach of the Korea Gas Corporation team expects his form to come up soon.
Difficult situation, epok and Ateneo die hards felt he let them down..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

He's a born scorer tho... he needs to go back to his instincts and roots and bring back his Mamba mentality like when he scored 100 pts way back when he was in grade school.

Correct but him playing the point in KBL..it might backfire to him if he doesnt channel it the right way, he is backup to dash maybe the spark plug off the bench will do wonders for him..

All of this being considered we can deduce that kai is in the adjustment period. DJ even had heavy playing minutes but struggles compared to what his usual numbers are in the last season even though he dad enough ball touches. you all see the turnovers which i definitely agree. he was very tentative when has the ball in his hands. maybe it's a mind thing not actually skills thing. because of lack of playing time he wants to force everything. but when he kai is relaxed and when he's given a play, he delivers and showcase what he can be. just look at the 4th quarter versus hawks. that's the kai that i'm seeing he is capable of doing. it's just a matter of if he can be consistent enough every game even when feels bad or feels sore body aching from previous game. i think when learns to take care of his body, like nba caliber type of preparation he can deliver this every game just like giannis the greek freak.
Kai just need a good passing PG and he will get a lot of buckets. Just look at Dech when he decided to pass to Kai in his comfort zone, Kai easily converts them even in the perimeter. Kai having a Luka like pg can unleash the beast inside him. In NBA, almost every good big man usually had a great passing pg or sg. Malone/Stockton, Kareem/Magic, Kareem/Robertson, Shaq/Penny, Duncan/Parker, Mourning/Hardaway, etc... That's one Kai is lacking now, someone who can make bball more easier for him. JC did it last FIBA games, what more with a better passing PG. Kai doesn't really fit CJ's philosophy as he is not really a fan of playing with length, he is more of a small ball coach that's why he prefer Harris.

I thought Dash will slide to 2, and he'll the starting PG?

I have the same concern re Oftana sliding right into Troy’s spot. But he’d never regress into simply being a stretch 4. Dude has got too many closeout counters and likes putting the ball on the floor. I’d be more concerned if Coach Chot puts him into the dunker’s spot and the corners. He’s too adept a slasher he should be playing from the extended elbows and top of the key.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

                            • aside from money , does playing in japan beneficial to the growth of a player, Ravena brothers play for 2 of the worst teams in Bleague , Paras played for the cellar dweller while Dwight's old team and current team were both in the bottom of the standings only Bobby Ray's team has a respectable record, for me if players want to go overseas Korea is a better choice as the teams that signed Abando, Belangel and Abarrientos look better on paper only the Samsung Thunder was a losing team the team that was supposed to sign Navarro, though Dwight is still very good despite playing for a bad team. I hope other asian league and other mid tier european league will open its door for our players, turkish league , israeli league , i remember Pringle, Cstan, Eric Menk , even Matthew Wright were among the players who played in europe before playing in the PBA
