kiefer & thirdy were fortunate to have been given the keys to the offense for their respective teams. ramos & parks to some extent were turned into 3&d role-players. parks only started getting a significant role when one of their imports got injured. if those to were allowed to run the offense they'd definitely post way better stats than the ravena bros

Lol wahts with issue with role players we wouldnt win anything if not for gabe norwoods intangability..
Dwight is a solid starter and can be a good plus if he can be a good role player since he will be reliable because of his strenth and size in asian level..To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Korea has a good system going on but Japan has been developing talent in the last few years. Kawashima for example looks like a D1 prospect and was featured on DraftExpress\scouted.

I do hope that Carl will go pro immediately after this season, preferably abroad. Although in the past weeks, he did mention wanting to go to Japan.

Ive been monitoring Balti and he has barely played in their two friendlies so far. Although, scrimmaging against world imports is good training I still hope he gets enough minutes to work on his skills in actual games.

On defence he's doing a lot better than what people were expecting. It's the opposite though on offence. He's supposed to be more advanced and skilled than what he's shown so far especially when posting up.

Originally posted by amabeast View PostADL is better without DJ on the court. The guy is already old. With Kai, Franks, Harris and Galloway as bigs, they can run the floor together with the other imports. There was a time that Kai was the first one to sprint down the court. ADL should move on with DJ or at least limit his minutes instead of giving him his usual 30+ minutes if they want to be competitive. DJ can't do anything other than shoot the ball. He is like the past prime Kevin Love.

For UAAP, departure of players is nothing new.
"It's just in line with our goal to give these students, student-athletes, the best position to succeed and to give their families an opportunity for a better life. So 'yan lang naman, from our perspective," said Saguisag.
"Again, this problem not being new to us, hindi naman kami nauubusan ng talent as far as we're concerned," Saguisag explained. "In fact, it only gives other students an opportunity to shine."
"Right now naman, and based on Season 84, like I said, it's nothing new, and UAAP is still alive and kicking. So, it may be a concern, quote-unquote, but right now we're just happy where the student-athletes are going," he added.
"We have to take note na the professional opportunity of basketball in the Philippines is very limited. And we have an overwhelming supply of basketball players," said Suan. "Sabi nga, we're a basketball country."
"Now, kung we have an over-supply of skills, and very limited ang professional venue for you to express your skills, why curtail that opportunity for other people?" he added. "Why not always grab the opportunity?"
"And this offer from outside the country is an opportunity. Let us grab it."
Seems like UAAP has a better outlook than both PBA and SBP. UAAP lost Dwight, RJ, Kobe, SJ, Juan, and will possibly lose Carl and KQuiam.

Im sure the UAAP does nothing to prevent players from leaving. Schools on the other hand, well Tamayo and Quiambao will play this season. And remember the Milwaukee Bucks and Ange Kouame? Well for some reason someone considered for the NBA is playing in the UAAP.
