  • The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas explained why it had to deny William Navarro’s request for a Letter of Clearance (LOC) to complete his transfer to Samsung Seoul. In a statement by SBP executive director Sonny Barrios, he explained that they could not grant the request of Navarro for a letter of clearance (LOC) to complete […]

    • Navarro and his management team made the mistake of joining the PBA Draft and signing a long-term contract with Gilas.

I will side with the SBP here primarily because he has an existing contract with the SBP.

they were probably expecting that tab will be managing/coaching gilas until the world cup. with chot, he won't be getting any minutes or will not be playing his natural position

Defensively you can see he’s showing more, doing hard hedges but his footspeed and recovery of getting back to his man isn’t great but at least gives him a better chance in the pnr instead of dropping. His best game so far was in the first match where I believe they got blown out by the other team.
Yeah. That is Kai's Role on Adelaide's offense.

          Ala Capela Type.

Pick and Roll. Lob Threat. Putback Rebounder.

On Defense, His Rim Protection is his biggest asset. He is not an Elite PNR Defender, but at least he is improving day by day compared to last season.

One thing I admit that Kai is truly lacking. Is His Physical Strength. But I believe he will get it as his body matures.

Been a while. Bye IBN Again. See you in Regular Season of NBL

          • So how many players have already called out the PBA and SBP on their bullshit? Kai, Wright, Barney… even Ben Mbala.

                    • I don't think it's a good idea to antagonize up and coming players. Especially people who would and should be NT mainstays.

                      • Super-hypocritical how the PBA and SBP bring Gilas into their argument. If anything, the B League has HELPED the national team

I remember when Jericho Cruz was not able to suit up for Guam against India for the last spot in the Asia Cup and WC qualifiers, while other B-league players (Nick Kay, Jawato, etc.) from other countries were not restricted to joining their NTs in FIBA comps.

The only cases I can think of so far of BLeague not allowing players is Balti and Greg when they were fixing papers. Even that is temporary.

Also personally, I dont care about FIBA availability at all but thats just me.

Was that the Bleague not allowing them or their personal decision to beg off to focus on fixing their requirements?

So will they put Navarro back on the team now?

I think it was a personal decision so my apologies for the lack of precision. Also I guess they bring Navarro back but cant guarantee it.
