DJ is over the hill, all he can do is shoot jumpshot. His minutes should be cut already if ADL wants to compete. They already have good imports, but if they keep on giving DJ heavy minutes, their interior defense will suffer.

The problem with going to Japan is that its just Japan. Not say GLeague or the NBL. Of course the money there is similar or even better than the NBL or GLeague and developing there is almost certainly better than college ball here but long term its still far from what needs to be done.

He should give the KBL at least a 1 year try,they would love to develope guys his size into a 3pt shooting machine.

Harris is not too bad maybe as a 6th man tbh i'd rather take him than Dech who is more of a ball hog and inconsistent shooter with worse defense.

Some observations:

On the second game on the defensive end i cant understand why Kai wound always help out double the guard giving the pick and letting his man roll on the basket which he is too slow or totally not able to recover

And on the offensive end he will most of the time lurk outside the paint giving soft screens and not trail a driving teammate for a putback or off rebound opportunity hence you could see him just watching the action from the outside and not get rebounds... just frustrating to watch. I think this is contributory for his low rebound tally...

Seeing him like this makes you think he is at least 2 years away from being a serious NBA consideration...

I think Kai will still need another season internationally to show his skills before pursuing an NBA contract. He will have a hard time showcasing himself this season as CJ is reluctant to give him big minutes. CJ prefers Harris, and it looks like he also prefers Galloway.

If he wants to stay in the NBL next season, he should sign with a team that likes playing big. Maybe the NZ Breakers, SEM Phoenix or Melbourne United.
