Adelaide 36ers Head Coach Conner Henry:
"When Kai's name was first brought to me a couple of months back, the staff and I started to do some really solid investigation on who the young man was personally as well as what skill level he had. You see Kai being 7-foot-3 and you're immediately intrigued basketball wise. Can he play? Does he have a certain skill level at that size, at that age? And when we saw the initial films of him, the coaches and I were immediately excited cause he's got a really solid feel for the game. He does the little things within the game already. Those are the types of the game that you can't teach. You can try, but when you see elite players already possess a really solid feel for the game, as coaches you get excited about it, and then you couple it on the young man being 7-foot-3." Basketball is ingrain to Kai. His understanding is so natural. He is born to play. I see his understanding and IQ is similar to LARRY BIRD. Capitalize para sa mga negatrons.hehe somehow these days the consensus is that he will be drafted.hehe

I don't think we need to remind anyone about the 2014 FIBA U17's where 4-year NBA players and PBA rookies are of the same age. Sotto will only be 21 when we host the World Cup. Think about it, he'll still be a prospect even by PBA standards so I find it hard to believe he goes to the NBL to play 30 minutes a game right away and gets drafted to the NBA next year even if he's better than Junmar right now. That U18 Aussie team that beat our U18's with Sotto, AJ Edu, Panopio, and Dave Ildefondo by 34 has an entire starting five of players who are more pro-ready than Sotto as role players. Sam Froling pa lang, baka taob na si Kai, the rest have more games in playing starter minutes in the US NCAA div 1. punyeta, even Princepal Singh has more experience than Sotto today.
Many nba teams draft or select rookies because of potential, not present ability.
d nbl stint though could potentially make or break a star out of kai.
lets hope for d former.

Bago na naman umiyak yung iba, I did not say that Kai is on Luka and Jokic level. I am just stating the importance of IQ.
What interesting about Kai is he does not only have high bball IQ, he has also decent athleticism and speed for a 7' 3". It's just his strength which is holding him down as of now. Let's wait until he improve on that part.
zhou qi's nba carreer fizzled out because of atrocious shooting in d nba level.

And the next year they met again and that time, at the u19 world cup, and batang gilas has already lost aj edu to an ACL tear and Frolling was still 2 years older than sotto and yet BG beat the aussies and sotto was already better than Frolling. That’s how much difference a year can be for Kai. LOL How can these trolls remember what happened 3 years ago and forget what happened just 2 years ago? And BTW these same trolls were also making a prophecy of a sotto demolition by caffarro, it wemt the other way around. Baka lang nakalimutan nyo na rin.clearly mr sotto demolished mr frolling

NBL putting this out there. This is the text from their video on their FB. They might be out of their mind(negatrons).haha
There should be at least truth in that insanely skilled description.lol https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=494539331747048
The Adelaide 36ers got their Kai for #NBL22, the 7'2 insanely skilled teenager from the Philippines, Kai Sotto.

A lot were from coaches and legit sites. We should expect the pinoy baiting comment soon.lol
