i believe this promotion is already in the timeline and they were expecting kai to be drafted. and now kai wasnt drafted they just wanna recoup their loses.

Why did his camp release that video? Are they out to embarrass Kai even further? Sure he's putting on the work, but now, there's no room for doubt. That video exposed all of what the scouts and coaches have been seeing and knowing all along. He needs reps in actual games not workout videos.

Remember Kai was being presented to US NCAA schools in 2020 as eligible (finished high school in 2020) to be able to enter College in August 2020. Don't tell me that is not shady practice .. like what can we believe is true coming from their camp?

The Sotto family, found out you don't get a single cent from US NCAA,so they're out of the equation, that cannot be.The EWP and Bell was probably the only agency, that said yes the whole family can go with Kai and no worry we'll advance your financial needs.

He's training like a freaking HS lineman,if they lineup a 300lbs+lineman training next to him,he will be left to dust. This is why American players have advantage,in athletic ability, they play seasonal games,so its not unusual, football players play in basketball as PF or even C in small schools. Some of the receivers and running backs play baseball or volleyball. The strength, agility and speed training in football is just way out there. Here's a good example a 40 yard dash of OL/DL in the NFL draft,I really have doubt if Kai can even run it in 6 seconds https://youtu.be/tcyn4CHt-oU

More exodus of young players. The PBA is very thrilled

Only Day One Sports Goyang, Suwon KT and Anyang KGC have salary space to sign a Filipino, though.
BLeague recruitment season is also forthcoming, right? Maybe after FAC?

I get you abt american football drills and workouts. they focus mainly on explosiveness rather than endurance, hence, times in the 40 yard dashes are one of the more important metrics they keep. But in that video, like what Cocoy said, was so cringe. He looks like he is slow and uncoordinated.

and looks like the Sottos have live off Kai ever since his Ateneo days(for sure he got perks there) and are already accustomed to the high end life style, thats why the EWP offer is a no brainer for them. I hope they saved a lot from Kai's earnings or else the family might end up living paycheck to paycheck similar to numerous nba players or basketball players. For God sakes i hope they are financially literate

They've released the list of free agents last week via their website. Safe to assume that the recruitment frenzy has already started. I wonder who might be recruited this time.

Unlike here, they can't choose preferred teams, need to join rookie draft then pick by farm teams... One of the reasons why young prospects doesn't want to play for PBA for now... unless changes happens in the future... Sino ba gusto maglaro sa Terrafirma? Sa Northport? Buti nalang Blackwater change already... Hope that BWB will continue this and become truly contenders in near future....
It's the system of recruiting players that's applied in almost every top pro league of most countries. It's not perfect, very detrimental to parity even, but i think it's already way past time that it's applied to PBA. Useless na rin kasi talaga ang draft as far as rebuilding thru it is concerned.

                          • If I had to guess, Greg will be making about the same as in the PBA (900k per month according to him).
