No one knows for sure the reason for rejection, but most likely cause they didn't want to offer a spot to a player who's agent already declared he was committed to play elsewhere (Asia cup) and looked difficult to work with (citing they're not interested in a two way contract etc ).
Who knows for sure if he would have gotten an invite if his agent was easier to work with and didn't misspoke. (I think he would actually been invited if his camp was desperate to just give it a shot with no conditions)
After all that has happened leading to draft , it verifies the truth, Kai was really a long shot draft prospect (not serious), and how way of many here are .
Recently Kai realesed a video of him doing lateral and change of direction drills in a football field , anyone with an eye , would spot why he wasn't drafted just looking at it (it's verification)Last edited by DAdmiral; 07-07-2022, 09:46 AM.

A few facts.
1..Kai is at best a fringe player competing with many to tryout for a team
2 fringe undrafted players really are in no position to demand ,
3 the SL has standard set pay , SL deals are not negotiable. It's take it or leave it.
4. It follows that each player representative is in communication with teams that they're trying to get a deal with. Obviously the teams know the sentiment and conditions communicated by agents for their clients . Like no team will invite Cooks if he already communicated he wants a guaranteed deal not a try out, via summer league.
A fringe player who's agent is demanding like Kai does not fit the profile you give a SL invite to, of course don't count players who were drafted or have deals secured of course they are automatically entered into the SL
Essentially SL for those who don't have a contract yet is like a walk in tryout for school teams (obviously they at least should be invited), like school tryout walk ins, they don't have a scholarship offer deal secured yet. . It's tryout at your own risk..
It seems Kai's camp wasn't wiling to fight it out as a simple walk in, but had conditions for a secured deal in place.Last edited by DAdmiral; 07-07-2022, 10:22 AM.

Actually had this conversation with Kevin Braswell, (all time leader in assist in Georgetown and a Euro league and NBL player)
He told me how critical it is to have a reputable good agent to get an opportunity in the NBA, , understand this , especially if the agents other clients are stars in the NBA, let's not fool ourselves if Giannis wasn't a star , no way will his brothers get an opportunity. It's similar with agents who represent multiple clients with stars.. just like any business, if an agent has done a team a favor (e.g convinced a star to move to a team) an agent can ask a favor and say for my other player (a fringe player) can you give him.an opportunity to play in summer league and join preseason and training camp . And if you like him, no promises, sign him..
Thats a huge opportunity, and it was arranged by the agent, because of who he is .. as you can see it matters a lot just like any business.

This is worst!
Broadly speaking, the suit "contends that Bell’s relationship with Malone and payments to Beasley’s mother were 'intended, ultimately, improperly to induce Beasley into executing a player agent agreement without competition from other agents.'
In another note some function from the forum is missing for my browser, any idea why is that? I'm using Brave Browser.Samahan ng mga Bopol ng Pilipinas

Quinito with the a "very good" argument here ahahahahah
Also, Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson also didn't finish their 4 years, and decided to enter the draft. So they must be greedy too

As for the other schools, I dunno yet.
Also, isn't this good news for people complaining about the limited slots in varsity teams (although it was more for these people due to FSA's)? Now that players are leaving earlier to pursue careers abroad, slots open up for new players to come in.
