Fotu never played at home NBL cause of the low pay, but played on Spain, Italy and B league ($850k last season)

Gets to the next question, how much is Pero Camerons pay in the seasonal job as hc as it isnt really fulltime? Or is it a almost a pro bono team and he get really his income from his club commitments..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
      1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

      • Tacko Fall playing in the summer league douses the notion that Kai isn’t good enough even for an invite. Clearly, there’s more to this than meets the eye.

What I’ve learned about all these Kai drama is that the marketability aspect is overrated, and I’m one of the guilty parties. If anything, Kai’s huge following is a double edged sword. It isn’t far fetched teams are turned off by all the hullabaloos going on in Kai’s camp. Too much excess baggage for a fringe project.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

Everyone' s favourite "bwakaw" Dusty got invited. You're telling me people view Kai as a worse player? Marketing? After what happened to the NBL's, 36ers', Gleague's, Ignite's , Blazers' socmed accounts I don't think they'll try it again

At least there are Japanese teams asking on Carl. However, this one says that Carl wants to stay for at least one more year.

I think Carl should stay one more year, max, then go abroad.
Makes you wonder why Korean teams are not? I'm just speculating here but IRC Carl bumped a Korean player last qualifiers after the play. Doing an RDO might not be good when you might be playing with the same player you are elbowing on the face.

According to Heoball, the KBL teams are eyeing more the Filipino guards than forwards. I dont think they cared about Carl's physicality, their player Choi had his own antics and wasnt a big deal to them.

The summer league consists of players who were the absolute NCAA stars from the last few years. Teamwork of course will not be there, but raw talent especially on defense and athleticism is very high. Everyone has basically NBA size and athleticism. Guys are tested if they can do their thing in that environment.

                  • So KBL allowed to get fil-am too? I thought they dont allow dual citizen holder... is alvano eligible for gilas?

                    • I wonder if Kai and his camp, decided not to play for Gilas anymore unless they doubled up the pay. Will his Pinoy fans cancel or crucify him next year if he has an excuse not to play for World Championship?

Yeah, but its in our own DNA,to have a very short memory of bad things, the "forgive and forget"culture, with some financial stuff on the side.

                        • This is getting interesting,I hope this leads to more Australian NBL and maybe Canadian and Euro Leagues for the Pinoys.

                          • Kai didn't beg of SL, no team was willing to gamble on him to invite him.

                            • Kai needs to work everyday to be like Chet Holmgren.

Chet is so skilled. It is crazy.

Kai really should go somewhere where he can be the best player. He needs a lot of work from what I can tell. If no team offered Summer League that is not a good sign.

Next year's Summer League will not be in conflict with WC... So no excuses for Kai to begged off... I will one of those who will not happy and blaming him if he declines w/o various accept reasonable excuses...

Well the kid really has no maturity as far as decision making by himself, its still up to his parents and EWP,as i said, there's going to alot of dollar signs has to move around, for EWP to even entertain the idea of him playing. They're already starting to flex their muscle right now and so far, there's no clamor for Kai being cancelled in the media and by fans.If anything alot of them are making excuses for him not to play this year at all.Besides if he makes it in the NBA,Pinoys will forget what he and his management did to Gilas.
