Tired of seeing videos hyping kai, even now that he’s undrafted.
very good for not clicking/watching them, we need to stop patronizing vloggers who leech off celebrities

        • Its been a few weeks. I'd say i was wrong in my view of kai. He's not even worth the draft and stash. I had this realization when i saw his last workout. His other co-hopefully draftee was more determined to get a spot. It was very evident in his every move during that work out.

For me, that workout showed that Kai was not ready. Hopefully, he return to NBL and show in his every game that he has a goal.
And also, i hope its not too late for him to join Gilas.
          Good luck Kai!

There are cyberlibel laws, but only for situations where the person's integrity/reputation is ruined based on false information.

There are no laws that penalize misinformation in general, hence the proliferation of vloggers that don't vet their sources and/or deliberately post false information to sway public opinion on any subject.

"Magselos pa misis ko kay Kai?" What are you implying, hmm?

Good for you, your point isn't applying to me. Kai isn't the barometer for my happiness. Supporter lang ang tao kung anu-ano na ang armchair psychology.

I only watch 3 PH basketball channels (Hoops Highlights, Yeshkel, and Tattoo Sports). Tattoo's latest video is the possibility of another Asian billionaire buying an NBA team. I don't watch anybody else.

Consequences and accountability? That's not part of Filipino culture. Pinoys love to deceive people as long as they can get away with it.

Best center of Asia will be debatable,in the eyes of NBA fans, the GOAT is Yao,now among Asian fans,he's probably as of now behind a dozen or so.

He's already more skilled than Yao according to some lol. Kidding aside realistically he could be a top 3 C in Asia. But he could really fall behind if he doesn't get his act together in the next 2 years.

                    • This is the problem with the die-hards, Kai hasn’t played that much in the Seniors Men division, and they already hyping him to be dominant. Let’s temper our expectations. Let him slowly work his way thru and see what happens from there.

I remember Kai from his HS/TSF days, they already predicting him to be better than most of the NBA All time greats (Hakeem, David Robinson et al) after that round robin and warm up dunk on Tacko Fall. lol .

Nothing changes when it comes to diehard fans, they have tunnel vision, doesn't see the whole field. He hasn't yet played long enough in the senior division to actuallyshow dominance in every game.

the kid was having a hard time defending Ra Guna and Prosper. he needs to work harder, especially on defense. the kid tends to be passive at times.

wow, Kai is now being compared to Yao? a player who actually played in the NBA and really made a mark in Asian basketball both on and off the court? i have no problem if Kai eventually does become better, but i'd like to base my hopes and dreams from the now and incrementally build on that. Kai, as of now, needs to show better wherever his next game will be. most likely NBL. hope he becomes best in 36ers roster first, then NBL, then we can go with whatever direction life takes him from there. at the very least, I hope he becomes the best person and player he can be and be happy with little to no regrets. lastly, i hope he keeps his fans as fans and not an ounce of what fans says be taken into account when deciding for his life.

                            • With all the disappointment in the draft, SL and Fiba asia cup I'd rather not pin so much hope on Kai. I think the family was either a lil greedy or bought into their own hype. As it stands it looks like a gradual development would have been better for Kai. The problem was it would have temporarily separated the family. That would have been a sacrifice. But you know a few decades ago families would send their kids to Manila for college. Sending him to a US college would have been similar.

I guess they thought at that time that EWP was a win win. But if its too good to be true it likely is. The Fiba Asia cup refusal seems only explainable because of money disagreement. I can understand if it was Blatche. The guy was a mercenary from the start. But really asking a really high price when you are not that good yet? Are we going back to BS private workouts? The kid needs actuall competitive games. He wanted PT in NBL he eas going to get it in Fiba asia cup. But alas. I hoped EWP eases up on the kid. They are killing their golden goose before he even develops.

He bothered all Korean slashers and they were hesitating to take to much threes where he was in the line up...
Kai helped us against Korea. But lets not kid ourselves. At best he was the 3rd best guy on the team after Kouame and Dwight. At this point I dont think he has the stamina and strength to be a starting center. He still needs a lot of improvement in those area.
