About the hating on Kai, it looked that way on your other stuff, not stuff concerning Bell. I don't recall myself defending Bell at any rate.
Unless you have an alt account here I don't think anybody responded rudely to you. You barely posted in this thread to get insulted.
Do you mean about the hunching stuff? Robin Lopez, Scottie Barnes, and Chet himself have hunches. It's not something that will make you not NBA-ready.Philippine Malditas to FIFA Womens World Cup 2023

But anyone here who believes that Kai will be putting up a 2014 Blatche-level performance in this Asia Cup, please dm me, I have a beachfront home in Laos I would like to sell you.

I'm willing to bet that if Youssef Khayat (who's younger, more efficient, and more suitable for the modern game than Kai) plays for Lebanon at FIBA Asia, Gilas ends up 3rd in the group and has to deal with either Iran or Kazakhstan for the right to play Australia in the quarters. So much eyes on Kai that anything less than a dominant performance will be like getting scammed: A year in the AAU circuit, trained a bit with G-League Ignite, 5 games with Gilas, a full season in the NBL, NBA Draft workouts.... pota tapos in 20 minutes a game, he only does 9 points on 36% shooting, 6 rebounds, and maybe an assist? Let's stop hoping that he garners attention. At this point, it's just about improving to a level where he figuratively drives the bus for a team instead of just being treated like a side show to sell tickets and gain youtube views. The message you have entered is too short. what I dont get from the Kai management team: they could actually sign for the the Summer League then eventually not sign any contract offer , be it 2 way or g league. They could just let Kai play in the summer league which only run for 10 days, which is good for his development. After the stint, they could look for better contract offers or return to the 36ers. Bell's alibi seems to neglect the part that Kai is still under the 36ers..
Its either there are really no offers or Bell is demanding that any team that want to sign Kai for the summer league to lock up his client in a multi year deal

He was 21% from the NCAA 3. Scratch that off the list.
Not true. Just because he doesn't play like a headless chicken eh low stamina na ang bata. Out of all the games he played in the NBL, only 2 games are single digit minutes.
None of you have proved me wrong either. Who knows in the future if I'm right, and someone like Morey releases a book with an expose like with Jeremy Lin.
I was wrong about you about having an agenda on Bell but how can you blame people for saying you have a grudge of Bell? Almost nothing you ever posted was positive about Kai, don't pretend your reputation isn't partly a result of your own actions.
Besides I was right on a few things too, and got insulted for supporting Kai a few times along the way, but I'm not demanding for any apology at all...Peezones your #1 enemy was persecuted on this site (and outside of it) but did he get any apology from the people who did that? Quits quits na lang, quite a few people here have egos too high, probably as a result of their surroundings...just because some people had a different opinion from you doesn't mean they didn't deserve apologies too...
I don't believe there are vloggers here on IBN who actively participated in the Kai Sotto threads.
If I'm included in that hype to the moon in IBN then no, I'm still here. I've also gone a few days without posting in IBN while looking at the forum for any news for PH ball.

The Asia Cup won't simulate the necessary environment for him to grow and figure out his weaknesses. The competition is way way way below NBA level. The players are not nearly as tall athletic or skilled. The playing styles and rules are different. He needs to play against NBA competition. How is he going to adapt if the "solution " is to look good against lesser competition? Hell he'll probably pick up more bad habits for scouts to nitpick on
If I'm being honest myself, Kai is definitely not an alpha male both in his game and his personality. He's a grown man still being babied by his handlers for obvious reasons. Just because Summer League and possibly the G-League means Kai might only make in a year what Kiefer will take home in a month, he's not willing to grind it out with those who have fewer options in the US and that's totally fine. It's a literal butas ng karayum to demand that NBA-type competition but professional sports aren't supposed to be careers and there he is getting paid to play basketball at 20. I'm not saying he has to suddenly transform into an Abueva, but the grind is different when there are back-up plans. For Kai, his last resort (PBA) is already a dream for many Filipino players.

Also, let's not kid ourselves with this idea that he needs to play against NBA-level competition like that Netflix movie. Besides, Summer League has the latak of NBA prospects who might not even make it to the G-League with the attention on the lottery picks before training camp. We've already seen Kai's game on full display during garbage time in the NBL when the 36ers were already out of the top 4. If the FIBA Asia level is that much lower, then Gilas should have no problem taking care of Australia and New Zealand with Kai on the floor regardless of the other four players he's with. There's really nothing more he can add to his game other than consistency and intensity on both ends.

His personality starts at home,he was a Mama's boy from the start and it indeed sounds like she made all the major decisions on the family side. The kid doesn't even have a normal social life, they derived him of a chance for a normal life in HS or College. In some tiktoks that has no control by his handlers, when he's on his own,he's so socially akward, his best moves as usual is lower is shoulder and shrinks to 6'11 and walk away.

He's already 20 years old. The family doesnt need to follow him around. Let him play in B league, Taiwan or KBL if they want him nearby. But likely the expense of taking his whole family with him limits his options.
