Hopefully NBL. Maybe BLeague, maybe PBA but hopefully NBL.

No interest in signing him in the Summer League? If no interest, it will only substantiate that Kai’s pre-draft workouts really “did not go well” as written by Homer Sayson.
I'm pretty sure there have been invites. I just think that Kai's camp is undecided as of now. Maybe we'll get some news in the upcoming days.

What are the possible teams who are really interested in Kai. They say Lakers or Knicks.

          Lakers I doubt na.

Perhaps Suns. They haven't yet anounced their initial summer league rosters.
Well Mark Cuban supposedly knew about Kai. Maybe Mavs? They aren't exactly loaded with bigmen

Lol just temper your expectations on kai’s playing time. Let him play and get expose so he could improve on the weak areas of his game.

            • his best bet is 2022 summer league and hopefully he'll earn a two-way contract.

if no summer league offers, back to gilas for asia cup then return to NBL. he's contracted for 2 more years, if they want him back he should return for at least one season. good for both gilas and his nba goal.

at this point, i think everyone knows about kai already -- the good, the bad, and the extra baggage. haha

when and how long does summer league last? if it won't interfere with the third fiba window and NBL preparations, i think he should join that as well. but for next season, I would rather see kai play in an international league wherein his role and minutes will be consistent as opposed to being a benchwarmer in a GLeague team. i think he needs real game time reps to build up stamina which was one of his major issues and as well as his confidence. no rush in getting to the NBA.

the NBA may be the best league in the world but it doesn't necessarily mean it's the best for his development.

draft and stash aint so bad if it was on the table during draft night. i bet joel did not informed the sotto family. kasi considering kai's eagerness to be drafted i'm sure he will consider that option.

Actually most 2nd rounder are not offered standard contract, mostly draft and stash talaga at two way contract. you can even google it right now as to what are the expectations of these second rounder. btw i saw vic law, landle, the guy with ponytail in sydney who kai blocked forgot the name, jessup(who is draft and stash of gsw) in previous summer league in youtube.
                  Cooks, the ponytail guy.

Withholding information I think is well within range of Joel’s capabilities, and I meant the things he could and would do. But at this point that’s simply theory and speculative at best.

Kai himself offered no excuses, no alibis. I love for Kai to prove he’s mentally tough by being his own guy, from hereon. He must allow himself to be guided but be the one who decides eventually on things that matter in his career. I think he’s that kind if guy. Improve on his biggest weakness which is the ability to guard smaller positions (he said so himself in his post draft interview). Small ball has evolved into positionless but I think Kai could work himself into “playable” status. Gotta be hard, though. As an athlete myself, I know for a fact it is one of the hardest areas to improve on (esp for Kai’s size). But seeing his mental fortitude, I’m positive. He’s not that far away like a Fall, Boban or Big Liu. He’d get there.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

Suns are in shambles right now. I don't know if I want Kai in that environment even if it's his ticket to the NBA.

Kai agent explains why they frown on Summer League, draft-and-stash options
                        by RANDOLPH B. LEONGSON

KAI Sotto has received invitations from NBA teams to play for their Summer League teams after going undrafted on Friday, but his agent wasn't for it.

                        Joel Bell explains.

"I’ve already got several Summer League invites for him. But we're not gonna do two-way contracts, we're not gonna do G League, Exhibit 10 contracts," said the American agent as Sotto's camp explores his post-draft options.

"At this point, the plan is to go to a non-North American team. We could go back to Australia or some other teams in Europe that are interested. He's gonna develop wherever he goes. He's gonna have a personal agility coach, a strengthening coach, and do things that he can work on to improve on his game. And I think in the following season, he'll be in the NBA."

For Bell, this approach allows Sotto to be more flexible as he explores what the future holds for him and not lock himself up to an NBA team outright.
Usually, undrafted players, like in the case of Ron Harper Jr. and Johnny Juzang, are signed to two-way contracts - non-guaranteed deals where players can be cut at any point by teams utilizing it as a tryout of sorts especially with the NBA Summer League looming.

Bell's pronouncements were later contradicted by Sotto who said in a tweet that he's open to a stint in the Summer League, but the agent made it clear why he frowns on such along with the 'draft and stash' option.

"With the two-way contract, you're not gonna play that much," Bell said. "He needs to play. He's not gonna play very much unless there's a bunch of injuries or something unusual happens. You are the 16th or 17th player on the team and you just don't play that much. He needs to play. That's the reason why he wouldn't do that."

G League contracts, on the other hand, locks a player up to an NBA team's affiliate with a chance of being called up to the main roster, while an Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed contract which is basically a training camp invite.

Bell bared Sotto has been offered "draft-and-stash" deals where a player will be given a two-way contract while allowing him to play elsewhere, with the team retaining his signing rights.

This set-up, however, is disadvantageous to the player as far as the agent is concerned.

"Teams say that we'll draft you but we don't want you to come right now. We want to hold your rights and stash you to a team outside of the US and that's a generally bad idea," he said.

"He can't talk to other teams if he wants to play in the NBA. That team has all the leverage. If they don't have a spot for him, they can say we don't have a spot for you and he can't do anything about it. He's stuck with that team.

"To be locked into a team and have them have your rights and they don't want you now and they may not ever want you is generally a pretty horrible idea."

In Bell's opinion, Sotto choosing not to get locked up in any deal only boosts his stock for the next season.

"By not being drafted by a team, in a year when Kai is a lot stronger and more marketable for NBA teams, he got a lot of people intrigued this year," he said.

"He can talk to all 30 teams. It's much better to be able to talk to 30 teams than be locked into one team. But Kai went through a good draft process. He showed a lot of things to the teams and he's going to be in a lot of radars of these teams in this coming year."
So it's possible that there are really NBA teams willing to draft and stash Kai but his agent don't want this route and he declined without Kai's consent. Kai was really disappointed when his name was not picked in the NBA Draft and if Kai's agent is not lying that there are NBA teams willing to draft and stash Kai, then Kai Sotto should fire his agent. And also why decline the draft and stash route if he'll only return to play for the Adeaide 36er(Kai has a live contract) for another 1 or 2 years.

Scenario 1- Kai was drafted and stashed to Adelaide 36ers for 1-2 years

Scenario2- Kai was undrafted and will return to play for the Adelaide 36ers for another 1 to 2 years.

Diba mas magandang tingnan and scenario 1..
