Agree, DAdmiral was right. Actually, it was easy to see how right he was. It is just that there were a lot who were blinded by their desire to see a Filipino drafted by the NBA. It didn't help that there were a lot of youtube parasites who were hyping Kai too much thereby bloating expectations. Seeing Kai's performance in the NBL was actually not up to par with what an NBA wants. He was behind clearly in development when in comes to motor and strength which are things NBA players have in abundance.

the youtube channels talking about Kai like he was legitimately a draft target for teams, filipinos are so gullible they eat up these videos

I don't think Kai believers like me were blinded at all. Everyone here knew how small the chance of being drafted Kai had. I just chose to believe. Blinded is what the people on Youtube are doing except for a certain few. Also there are some people who are very arrogant in this thread. If I lived through Kai the past 2 yrs I would have canceled my family vacation today for the draft.

A lot of the guys drafted would probably be out of the league in a few years. And a number of undrafted players would probably stick a lot longer. The draft is a crap shoot anyway and it's probably safe to sign free agents than gamble on teenagers. There's still the Euroleague route , NBL, G league(?!).

sign to a summer team first. i dont know how Kai's contract is if 36ers will let him sign s summer team contract without buying out his current contract with them.tama di ba? he still has a year or 2 with 36ers?

anyone with NBL connections? does NBL allow nonguaranteed contracts while a live NBL contract is in place? if i understand it, if an NBA team gives a regular contract to a player who has an existing contract somewhere, they have to pay a buyout. a summer league or two way is not a guaranteed contract and therefore no buyout will happen. since Kai has an active contract, will he even be allowed to sign summer league contract?

Fyi, IBN isn't the same as it was a decade ago. You'll be surprised to find out how many people here share the same opinion as every ridiculous content creator who made the effort to edit Kai's face to an NBA jersey and speak as if anak nila si Kai.

There actually is no joy on simply agreeing with consensus opinion. This results were quite predictable, (of course there is always a slight possibility of a surprise. )
What I'm happy about was the Sochan pick by Spurs, if you looked at mocks he wasn't expected to be picked that early, Duren , Griffin, Davis were all expected to be picked ahead of him.

I just saw news about Kai choosing Gilas. Maybe that's a factor into why he wasn't chosen. Similar thing happened with Ignite.
