I wonder though how much his stock took a hit after Ignite fiasco. it didn't looked good for him signing a contract and getting paid only for him to bounce when the situation didn't looked favourable to him.. Well there's still a lot of ways he can make it. Hopefully he didn't got blacklisted

Agree, DAdmiral was right. Actually, it was easy to see how right he was. It is just that there were a lot who were blinded by their desire to see a Filipino drafted by the NBA. It didn't help that there were a lot of youtube parasites who were hyping Kai too much thereby bloating expectations. Seeing Kai's performance in the NBL was actually not up to par with what an NBA wants. He was behind clearly in development when in comes to motor and strength which are things NBA players have in abundance.

I hope this experience serves as a motivation for our boy. May he find a way to dominate the NBL in the next 2 years and earn either an NBA call-up or a longer NBL contract.

To be fair, there a a number of players drafted this year that weren't in top 60, and no invites from combine and elite camp.
