I am expecting an official statement from Kai and EWP this week. I will wait for it. Supposedly his quarantining would be up this week.

Don't confuse the list of those who declare and enter early with those who are automatically entered like Kai
Kobe Paras was not on the list in 2018 as an early entry, but was available to be drafted, just like every 22 year old in draft year in the Philippines
lamelo ball made the "also eligible" list

If Kai isn't drafted this year, I would prefer that he goes to Europe. The quality of play is almost or even better than the NBA (especially when it comes to system play and in terms of fundamentals).
The problem right now with Kai's team boils down to communication. If you look at the history, kai's journey is a road of extremes. EWP started with bombastic hype, (helped by bandwagon youtubers). We were bombarded with numerous posts hyping our boy. Now all of a sudden, no word from them. Like a rollercoaster, after the highs of the numerous news and posts, now we have nothing.
And we are all left frustrated and confused.
What I am worried about is that if Kai's situation worsens is that it might create a bad impression for Filipino basketball players in the eyes of the NBA and could lead to a "blacklist" for our prospects especially if the NBA sees that EWP is involved. Unfortunately, there isn't another entity that could help our locals cross into the US basketball circuit. A rich Filipino-American should start his own "EWP."sigpic
