Knicks are desperately looking for a rim protecting 3 point shooting big man right now but Knicks fans ignore Kai Sotto because of all the self-proclaimed idiots on Reddit hating on the kid pretending to be objective. Like battling down low in the NBL isn't experience enough. Aussie big men >>>>> NBA big men who don't come from Euroleague no cap. Kai practically got pushed every time he went up for an alley oop or dunk. That's not happening in the NBA lol these idiots and self-hating Pinoys.

If they want to be white american or white aussie so bad then they should stop being involved in Kai Sotto for representation. All they want is validation after all, not genuine in their support because they're scared they're gonna be grouped up with the overhypers using Kai's name to squeeze every dollar they can.

Being pinoy means you take the good with the bad. You can't pick and choose what you want to identify by.
Yeah I second this. Like a lot of people in Reddit are saying that he is not even good. Like wtf? Have you actually watched him play? And you'd get downvoted for even suggesting that Kai is a decent player lol

I hope the offer will still stand after the next NCAA season ends next October

Wait, they've been following the kid eversince, right?.

        • The New York Knicks will have a workout for 7'3'' Filipino prospect Kai Sotto, who is one of the more polarizing prospects in the entire 2022 NBA Draft.

Where Sotto will go in the draft is a complete mystery. You could say that for most draft prospects, but a player like Sotto’s stock appears particularly volatile, as there have been projections anywhere from a late first-round pick to going undrafted.

His size, intangibles, and potential as a shooter make for a very intriguing NBA prospect. Sotto’s a “stretch-5” archetype of big man that New York currently doesn’t have on its roster.

What’s enticing about Sotto is his size paired with his mobility. He’s a prospect who could have a high ceiling, but will need a ton of work and refinement in his game to be an impact player in the NBA. That tends to be the case with a lot of big-men prospects.

Guess they will have a first hand account on the future of Kai, what is written on this article is already discussed on this forum like his projections in the draft and his
Pros and Cons as a player.

true, coach thibs (he's still ny's coach right?) will ride Kai to the ground if ever he makes it to the main roster, damn thibs might play Kai for more than 35 mins every game!

Doubt this happens asap. Thibs is not known to trust rooks. He'll probably play both for the Knicks and the Gleague at the same time if ever. Honestly, I think that would be the best setup for him wherever team he lands (if he ends up in the NBA next season).

                      • People can make all there predictions or takes all they want on anything , just like saying Dallas can still comeback from down three - zero vs Warriors and beat the historical odds, and be the 1st team in 160 teams that were behind by zero - 3 and come back to win it.

what are the odds, of a player since the G- league elite camp was introduced (3 years ago) for a player to be drafted not invited to the NBA combine or elite camp (invite not participate), around 1 in 300 !, yes not impossible of course and there always a 1st. Hope Kai is the 1st. just citing the historical odds.. and yup the system of combine invitations being an indicator would have failed to predict correctly in that 1 time in over 300 invites. yes you can argue this will be the one exception miracle.

Forgot about the Thibs angle. As of now, he's still the Knicks coach. But yeah, he doesn't trust rookies that much, and only does so when there's an injury. From what I remember, Jimmy Butler only got a rotation spot with the Bulls because of injury issues with Rip Hamilton.

And, yeah, G-League would be the best setup for Kai. I only hope the Knicks culture of losing doesn't affect him.

Lol here you are again with your "odds." I mean, I get it, I really do. Kai's chances of being drafted is slim to none. But there's no need to repeat that over and over and over and over again. It's exhausting really, and you're not bringing anything new to the conversation.

Zero, as sample is only last 3 years (elite camp was only introduced recently), but still that's around 100 players every year or 300 in total.
Yes I will bring up continually. Just to put in proper context all these statements from personalities like Bell , they have to be taken with a grain of salt, it does not really change his true odds .
And here is why those statements are dishonest and unrealistic, if Kai is like a regular prospect who can withdraw after testing the waters as Bell is claiming contrary to CBA , the all of this makes sense. But the thing is, it's not true. It's false , make believe

Bell is making up stories that Kai as.an automatically eligible player can withdraw. It's a mockery of common sense , if you just read the rules and how it is applied. (That's why it's called automatically entered)
