What I've learned from all this years in socmed especially after the recent elections is to tune out the negative ones. Most of these people are out of touch and these platforms are their only outlet where they could find similar thinking people to agree with them.
Someone who's been so negative against Kai who I know isn't a self-hating Filipino and is sadly not trolling.

I've seen others comparing Kai to the Kings PR player Satnam Singh. LOL. Haters are a different breed. Imagine if there were dedicated haters for Chet and Jalen Duren lol. That's how pathetic this stuff is.

Then he's blind. He should have delicadeza and step down from his position. I don't know what kind of bias he has, but that's the kind of bias that stops Asian players in general from penetrating the NBA. "But Hyunjung Lee" is a phrase they utter to pretend that they follow Asian prospects when they don't, because that kid is 100th in the ESPN rankings.

Saying stuff like "the amount of fouls" and "high TO%" is just blog boy stuff. If he followed Kai then he'd know why. It's not like those numbers continued as Kai developed throughout the season and got more consistent PT. Absolute ignorance on the part of a scout. I guess this is why he's outside of the NBA and not working for them.

    • Hahahahahahahaha.

Anyway, Kai will have a workout on nba teams this week.

Their assessment will be the only relevant. Not by Nba Writers, Not By redditors, and not even us IBN Posters. (Whether positive or negative)

We are 1 month away anyway.

If he is drafted, then I hope All of us here will be glad and support it. If not, then its fine, not the end of the world, he can be signed as an undrafted FA nba player. He also have a fallback NBL option.

      • Did a BLeague team offer JD Tungcab a contract back in 2020-ish? Or was it just Oftana?

JD almost played for Koshigaya Alphas in the Division 2 of B.League. The pandemic prevented him from doing so.

Yeah. I will also respectfully disagree with this.

I will accept criticisms such as lack of strength, lateral movement, and stamina.

The scuttlebutt is Sotto will attend workouts with at least 12 NBA teams. He wasn’t among the 76 players invited for the Draft Combine in Chicago last May 18-20 but his NBA agent Joel Bell said it’s no indication of lack of interest. “I wasn’t surprised he wasn’t invited,” said Bell. “Teams that scouted Australia this year were very enthusiastic about Kai who got better every week in the NBL. That’s why we have so many teams that want to bring him in for workouts. And we actually have a commitment from at least one team that will pick him if Kai stays in the draft. If you’re a team that thinks a player is pretty good but you’re not positive other teams realize it, the last thing you’re going to do is vote to invite him to the Combine because you don’t really want him in a display case.”

Bell said he’s convinced that when Sotto reports for team workouts, he’ll impress. “They’re going to be kind of dazzled,” he said. “Now that doesn’t mean that he’s going to stay in the draft or not, that’s going to be a decision that Kai makes but I’m very confident they’re going to be dazzled. His skill set for a guy 6-9 is off the charts but not a guy who’s 7-3. An analogy I make sometimes is diamonds are really expensive because they’re rare, so is Kai. He’s a valued commodity.”

                  Rhenz Abando declines KBL offer

After a chance three years ago with Univeristy of Santo Tomas, Rhenz Abando finally got the championship he had sought for. However, it was in a different league and under UST’s sister school. The 24-year-old native of Sto. Tomas, Pangasinan led Colegio de San Juan de Letran to the NCAA Season 97 Seniors Basketball Championship […]

It's absurd the amount of haters the kid has before even stepping on an NBA court just because of the huge fandom he has behind him. Like is it our fault these idiots are biased against the SEA region in terms of basketball? What will they say about Derrick Michael when he declares for the NBA draft?

Knicks are desperately looking for a rim protecting 3 point shooting big man right now but Knicks fans ignore Kai Sotto because of all the self-proclaimed idiots on Reddit hating on the kid pretending to be objective. Like battling down low in the NBL isn't experience enough. Aussie big men >>>>> NBA big men who don't come from Euroleague no cap. Kai practically got pushed every time he went up for an alley oop or dunk. That's not happening in the NBA lol these idiots and self-hating Pinoys.

If they want to be white american or white aussie so bad then they should stop being involved in Kai Sotto for representation. All they want is validation after all, not genuine in their support because they're scared they're gonna be grouped up with the overhypers using Kai's name to squeeze every dollar they can.

Being pinoy means you take the good with the bad. You can't pick and choose what you want to identify by.

Nabudol po kayo. That's not Kai's current NY workout. It still has that one Hawaiian player who we thought was gonna sign up for Gilas years ago.

Anyway i hope he change his mind. Or that kbp team will now offer this to Tamayo. Much better news of Tamayo plays for KBL.He owes nothing to UP since he already help them win the championship.

wowee. he could have played in KBL and just go back when an SMC team has the 1st pick. the important thing(for him and SMC) is he goes to any of the SMC team anyway.
