  • Here's an interesting bit: https://twitter.com/PBAinsider/statu...r8eILORYQ&s=19

According to this one, Baltazar might consider playing overseas.

If he does, about time that a big does consider playing overseas.

PBA is going to be malding if they lose another big talent like Baltazar. It might be better for him experience wise to play overseas than to play in the PBA. He has what it takes compared to let's say, Carino with his Ability to play and defend as a 3. Leagues like T1 League, KBL or even the B-League would fit him.

Yeah, what I was thinking. The KBL and even the T1 League and B.League can provide him better training for international ball than the PBA with his ability to play both forward positions.

In the PBA, he'd just play the bigman positions, although he could play the 4 next to a bigger import (if the PBA allows imports bigger than 6'6"-6'8").

You can't be a solid 2nd round pick . When there are over 90 others being projected to be 2nd round or better (Ariel and Harper jr are mentioned as a 2nd round pick multiple times by others, but they're still not viewed as solid 2nd round picks )

obviously no one knows for sure who the 60 players to be drafted will be , so the only worthy discussion is to determine factually how each players stock is performing. (yun lang naman is what is available and verifiable ) and the reality is Kai is not currently rating consensus in the top 90.,

It's interesting that there are at least 3 sources (NBA Scouting Live, NBA Draft Room and ESPN Australia), and not just one, that has placed Kai as Second Round Draft pick.

Can I check how many mock drafts are there that could be seen as credible and reputable?

              • What specific mock sites have Kai listed at a specific rank (like 55)number under 60 ? Can you show me
While Ariel and Harper jr are mentioned specifically as top 60 picks multiple times by multiple mocks like over 70 other players

In the final update before Draft night, the top is becoming settled, but then uncertainty abounds as teams make their final decisions.

All I'm saying is that at least 3 mock drafts (NBA Draft Room, NBA Scouting Live and ESPN Australia, the JumP) have all put Kai as Second Round Draft pick. My understanding is that Second Round draft picks are from rank 31 to 60. NBA Scouting Live has even put Kai over Ariel based on their article....I'm just laying down the facts.....nothing to argue here as these are facts

By the way, in terms of credibiltiy....is this Alan Lu of NBA Scouting Live credible? ...his resume seems good......I just want to compare it to those who didnt put Kai as a second round draft pick

                      • Thanks. However most of these mock drafts focus only on 1st round while not mentioning the second round drafts

Per its website NBAScouting Live is a 2 man operation and Alan Lu has spent years conducting work as a basketball analytics and scouting consultant for the Albury – Wodonga Bandits in the Australian SEABL, if we go by mock drafts that the NBA itself uses to come up with a consensus mock draft though NBAScouting Live is not included in their list.

so what difference does that make? the NBA uses a different set for 2nd rounders?

Most of the mock drafts that were listed do not even have 2nd round mock drafts.....so maybe NBA just looked at those very limited mock drafts that list 2nd rounders.

I think his partner is his brother, Richard Lu. Richard Lu is supposedly scouting for the Phoenix Suns and the Chicago Bulls - I assume they both discussed Kai and Ariel before they released their review of these players.
