Froling brothers put on a show, Harry with 27 pts (8/10 from 3) and Sam Froling with 18 pts (61% FG) , 8 rebs, 5 assists and 1 block
And to think their best big Reath wasn't even playing

Not sure if a good stroke from the FT line automatically translates to a good perimeter game, Kai's lack of outside shooting is not just challenged by his stroke but moreso of his tendency to jump forward before releasing his shot
Just rewatch the TSF games. He even hits 3s coming off a curl. Just stick to whatever stroke he’s comfortable with and start hoisting a lot of those in the gym, and maybe 1 or 2 in actual games.

Sam really knows him and he played a statement game against Kai, he really want to play well against Kai. It is like they are rivals. Maybe more isolation plays for Kai in the post. I saw that he can take on anyone when given a post play. He can also do what Sam can do.

The coach CJ needs to figure this out, how not to be outscored when Kai plays.
From a development growth perspective the PT is excellent for Kai and you can see the improvement
I wouldn’t be so preoccupied with plus minus. Yesterday he had the highest plus minus but that’s not really saying a lot. It’s his efficiency that he should be working on. Of the two analytical stats, PER is a better indicator of a player’s impact on the game.

            • Alright, since I've said my piece last year about plus minus I won't say it again. Here are my casual notes:

              - Kai is a rhythm shooter. If he's in NBA 2k, he's a microwave player, who will only heat up if he does good in the beginning.

              - 12 points in 13 mins, not bad for a prospect.

              - 28% FG but we can chalk that up to strength issues. One thing the NBA cannot accuse Kai of is doping.

              - We need his previous jump shot back. At this point, he's trained enough with NBL players that we can't say it's nervousness anymore.

              - There's only one play designed for Kai, the Spain PNR. Otherwise the guards barely even look at Kai unless the way has 2 or more defenders.

              Continue on, Kai.

Allot of potential comments is a good sign.
Defense is played mainly with the feet. You must use a correct defensive stance. You must know how to slide (sideways, forward and backward). You must know how to "close-out" on the offensive man and play good "on-ball" defense.

Then what would happen to hukporti for he wont really ever be a 3 point threat and would really have a hard time even with midrange jumpers?

Kai showcased his defense on the first two games and today he showed glimpse of what he can do on offense. They fouled him four times because they cant stop him. It is absurd to think that Kai would stop everything but only a great contest would be enough. Even Gobert isn't expected to block everything. CJ was outcoach by arguably the best Aussie coach. Gorg took Kai out by letting him defend a stretch big and Kai was confuse if he help checking penetrators or just stick with Harry. Cj should have let Kai switch to the other big. Kai was DNP in the other game because he was isolated as per Liam Santamaria and it is not good to use him a day after his quarantine.

Here is a breakdown of Kai's defense. Problema na yan sa di marunong tumingin.

                      • Kai is gradually making strides.lol Showcasing his defense and today he showcased his offense. It has been just 4games for Kai and it seems ADL wont reach the playoff. When that time comes it would be showcase time for both Mojave and Kai.lol

Liam Santamaria said that Kai did great last game and was great also this game!lol It seems it is easier to please real ball personalities over resident IBN forumers.

Kai is gradually gaining confidence and it is really clear he cant be stop on offense. He is most of the time double team/tripled team or fouled but one on one he owns his defenders.lol

                        • Kai's been putting up decent numbers. According to a graph I saw mathematician post in an FB group, 6.3 PPG on 38.5% FG and 75% FT, 5.7 RPG, 0.7 APG, 0.3 APG, 0.7 BPG. I'll add, he's been doing this in 13.3 minutes per game.

I haven't really seen Games 2 and 3, so I can't comment on the impact that much. So really, how is it?

                          • He is gradually adjusting to the NBL play and gaining confidence. He is also gradually assimilated to the offense. Mitch finally had success sending a pass for a roll to Kai today. He got fouled as he roll. More confidence and more burn time. Good progression as he plays more.

                              • Every time Kai plays, after the game, it's very nice to see objective discussion. Points of improvement, where Kai was good, etc., without much trolling. Even the warring forumers are good and reasonable.

Would like to see that become the general theme.
