I looked up Gonzaga’s roster they only have Oumar Ballo listed as Center, rest of their guys 6’10+ listed as forward. Seems only 6’10 guys that got playing time was Drew Timme.

At this point Kai's problem isn't the skills, but the exposure.

There's still a lot of areas that Kai has to improve on but he does have the offensive skillset to be drafted in the NBA.

For me the problem is the reaction of our prospects to the hype that is being generated by local media, YouTubers, some overzealous fans etc. our prospects are burdened with high expectations that they are afraid to show any form of failure (not being the focal point in offense, weaknesses are addressed/exposed, etc). So when they are put in a position where they are not comfortable with and are not guaranteed to succeed (Kai role in Ignite, Kobe P's role in NCAA) our prospects reaction is to fall back (Gilas, UAAP, PBA etc) in expense of actually getting better.

I was just about to post this too. Another sayang opportunity. I would say he probably could have given them another option in the post. Is Kai a one and done candidate or is the type who'd maximize his eligibility?

Kudos to Baylor they really deserved that ring, it seems that night the Bulldogs lost some of there juices in that Final Four match against the Bruins. I was totally surprise how big Baylor that night physically, it's like a High School team playing against a legit College team, Baylor should be named Stallions instead because they keep on pushing the ball more faster than the Bulldogs from the get go hence they always caught napping in the defensive end most of the time, yup bro. that PNR and sliding plays is killing Gonzaga all night long. Also, I won't be surprise if all the Baylor Boys plays American Football as part of their cross training.

Nowadays they probably do something similar or maybe a little different

One thing the coach mentioned was tag. Or Habulan for local, seems to be something popular to do mainly because of the agility involved, constant change of direction, chasing and trying to catch, running around. Helps with for example fighting through screens or chasing and guarding your man for basketball

I've only seen a 10 minute highlights of the game, but based on that, they didn't even use oumar ballo. I even looked at his stats and he only averaged 2.5pts and 1.5rebs in 6 minutes a game. Probably those were even mostly earned against non D1 schools. That is odd since gonzaga looked small in the position specifically since petrusev has left. Was gonzaga a team that relied much on running and shooting a lot? I have not watched any of their full games, but i understand they were spotless until the final game tho they were almost taken down by UCLA in the semis, and that must've taken a lot from them specially with their thin rotation. Baylor looked like a team that runs a lot as well but they were bigger, stronger, and looked even quicker. Or was it that they caught a tired zags? Either way, Ballo would've helped but they didn't use him (correct me if I'm wrong). Having said that, i think Kai might have not been utilised too if he went to gonzaga. Sometimes, where a player ends up really dictates where his career goes. Not so much for utility players but for players who specialise in certain skill sets. I really believe kai has what it takes to do well in the NBA, hopefully he ends up with the right team just like jokic

It is better for kai to play on a rebuilding team or with spurs/raptors. Zags fans were so arrogant but I think Kai could dominate their frontcourt easily during practice. OKC is tanking these days and giving precious exposure to their newbies. They will allow them to commit mistakes as long as they grow.

Kai is an AD, KAT and Jokic type of player. Others expect him to be a Freddie Abuda type or they just want him to dominate in all aspect(absurd expectations).

I have watch live the OQT before with gilas and NZ. You were right that JF could take on NZ bigs but tab didnt believe on his capabilities.

Others also were insisting that kai went home because he didnt have his way with ignite, that was really not the case. Kai and EWP tried to serve both but the events overlap with each other. There was rumor Kai receive 30m from smart recently.

Si badua pala ngdrop but I think this might be true. I dont have issues with Kai and his family earning money. I dont think Ervin and EWP were shortsighted to sacrifice Kai's NBA dream. It is still the biggest money after all and I believe they are already in talks with teams.

Really impressed with Suggs against UCLA, he made the block, the pass and the shot at the crucial moments. Those plays are the moments that will increase your draft stock, he's probably top 3 now imo

Snow should be working for Philippine showbiz, not sports. Ang linaw even sa interview with Bryan Shaw, nagpaalam para maglaro sa gilas. If it's just for a commercial ad, maybe they could've just shot it in the States.

Pinakaintrigerong tao sa pinoy sports yang si snow.haha okay lang naman sana maglalabas ng scoop but he should not put Kai and his team on a bad light. I think kasali sa offer ng SBP yang mga ganyang deals kay Kai to entice him to play and always commit for gilas.

That's actually the thing that impressed me with his game, not as flashy as like lets say Jalen's but effective. And the maturity to make the right plays on those crucial moments, I think that will impress the scouts most. I'm not familiar with johnny juzang, will definitely keep an eye on him as well.
