the point, Tab isn't a one system guy.... he uses what he has at his disposal. of course he chooses and recruits players that can fit what he envisions would be most effective though..
Or atleast have some variations in his system.

Our Guards is not as talented as our Guards before. But they are still good enough.
Our Wings Still lacking though. We are just either using a third guard as our wing, or a combo forward as our wing.

It is too easy for kai to score. It is not even fair watching kai so skilled and so near the rim always.
I dont discredit mobley but Kai is very capable of emulating or doing much better if given the chance. Ano bang wala si kai na meron si mobley? Di kaba marunong tumingin. Tell me how is mobley better than kai?
You could also check his Fiba profile.

He could even be the best if he could play again in that tournament this year.
The G-League was a chance to play against players who are done with college and have played in the NBA. In the G-League, Kai would have been part of the being the youngest in the league. In Overtime elite, he would be one of the oldest.

Originally posted by astigram04I try to see why Tab is so excited about a Kai-Kouame duo more than a Kai-aj tandem. Yeah, Aj Edu has been injured for quite a time now but we've seen the two play together and id say aj is the much better player compared to kouame, or, at least, was.
Anyway, i remember when gilas under Tab baldwin played new Zealand, he did adjust to salvage the win but came late. IIRC, it was round mid 3rd quarter when he asked blatche and junmar to pound it inside. Had they went to the post right from the get go, NZ would've lost all their bigs to 5 fouls.
Anyway, I am sure coach tab is willing for Kai Kouame AJ trio naman if all are available

Overtime elite would form a league for TOP PROSPECTS. That would still not be a patsy league. Who would on their sane mind offer at least 100k USD for 30 players if not all of them were elite or really good ones. Are you expecting that the players would be Julian Newman type?lol
You cant even state why mobley is better.lol Mobley posting up looks so mediocre his hooks were awkward. Even his rolls werent smooth. Check Kai post moves and PNR rolls and pops.lol stick to being armchair fan and stop blabbering without analyzing in depth.

If kai can execute complex moves with ease against gleague players timestamp 29sec, then how easy will it be to score if given passes in scoring positions.lol analyze din konti keysa puro comment. The point here Kai is arguably at par with mobley in terms of talent and as a prospect. What kai needs is more exposure against better competition. Kai had proven that he could excel even way younger than his opponents.Last edited by PeeZones; 04-07-2021, 03:57 PM.

Kmart Jr is a scrub. I dunno why he keeps on getting 20 mpg. Probably to help the rockets tank. His stats is decent his FG% is even in the high 50s but he fails the eye test.
Spaeking of 19 year olds I didn't know that Poku is only 19. Hes another guy who's getting major minutes despite being terrible. OKC fans loved him though

For the sake of discussion, what could've it been if kai instead went to the NCAA and say ended up with Gonzaga? As dominating as the zags were, the lack of bench took its toll and it happened right in the finals. Would've kai made a difference specially since petrusev left for the pros

But for the sake of discussion.
Kai's performance as First Year in US NCAA will determine if he is a one and done, or needed more years. It is likely that Kai will ride the bench, that is a norm for US ncaa (Unless you are top propsects like Cade).
Thats why I prefereed G league Ignite than US NCAA. Atleast Kai will be a starting Center, or atleast in rotation.
As for if Kai play significant minutes for zags. Hard to tell. But it will give zags a different dimension in their game.
Suggs Kai combo. Hmmm. Interesting.
Anyway, we need to wait about 2 months now before combine
