plus Kai already signed with a agent (does EWP count as a agent), which makes him a pro.
The US NCAA has allowed college student-athletes to earn and get paid. It will take effect on 2021-2022.

thanks for the info, now the only issues are EWP as an agent to Kai, did the NCAA lift also its rules regarding agents and losing eligibility? and Ignite status as a professional team

Of course most of us here want Kai to be drafted. But in case he isn't drafted, hope Kai's value as a basketball player & even as a person won't be downgraded by that much. Yung iba kasi dito parang subrang big deal sa kanila yung pagka draft or hindi pagka draft kay Kai Sotto. I feel like Kai's chances of making it to the NBA is being over analyzed by some posters here. People hardly talked about Kai's stint with Gilas or Kai's future stint in FIBA or FIBA Asia tournaments.

Hope this new thread of Kai Sotto would be spared from toxicity.
Teka...isn't that the MISSION and the ULTIMATE dream of not just Kai's camp but of any basketball-loving pinoy? To have one of our very own as the first ever homegrown, local-bred Filipino to make it into the NBA? Regardless of him making it in by being drafted or undrafted or signed to a contract? As long as we FINALLY get to see one of our own on an NBA team?

Because the reality is Gilas will always be there for him, heck even the PBA if he has nothing else to fall back onto. That is why Kai making it to the NBA is a BIG DEAL. (well for us filipinos anyway.lol)

Di nyo ata na gets ang side ko.. Because what Analyzed explaination is he is already eligible.. That is OK.. But my question is He can decline? He can skip into 2022? That is the question...
The short answer in no bro.

If Kai really falls in the first category

Nba teams have all the rights to draft him no matter what.

Now, if Kai doesnt want to play for that team. His roghts still remains to that team.

I get your point bro. We are always in same side.

But, this time, if he really falls in CBA, he cant really decline

plus being undrafted would not be the end of the NBA road for Kai,

And..I can't believe we had to create another "Kai Thread" when it's still the same personalities who will be posting on here, going around in circles endlessly debating about Kai this Kai that, who's right and who's wrong, who's gotta bigger ego over the other, "I'm smarter than you" etc...just watch, it's gonna go down the same hole as the other one.

Did I say otherwise? All I said was, lets not make too much fuss just in case Kai doesn't get drafted in the NBA becoz in case he isn't drafted, he can still make it to the NBA maybe next year or 2 or 3 years from now.

Read some comments on socmed that Kai daw is talking to some top notch schools where he's going to get big minutes. How true is this? Is he still eligible considering he already is earning from his contract plus other business ventures? Realistically what are his options if he can't play with Ignite?

The creator of this thread hopes that nobody here hurls too much toxic on this thread like some posters did in the other Kai Sotto thread.

Well let me just say it will be very interesting to breakdown the reasons on why Kai goes undrafted this year if in case that is what will happen. It will be very interesting to see and discuss what went wrong and what can be improved so that his camp can do a better job on their next plan of action to get Kai into the NBA. And this can apply to any other prospecting homegrown Filipino trying to crack it into the NBA...if ever there will be another one in the next 10 years.

Seems impossible. He's already been paid as a professional. He also probably wasn't eligible even prior to the Ignite contract. Unless massive rule changes in the NCAA occur, this is bull.

                            I doubt it.

He already considered a pro the moment he signed ignite contract

                              So far, ok naman.

Let's see if there will be another toxic.

If there will be, then, lol, we just gonna live with it.

                              But so far, so good.

Hope no one starts the fire again.

                              Focus on Kai's topic

That's becoz of uncooperative posters here who won't mind turning every thread into toxic which is filled with trash, animosity, flame & hostility.

Can't we be harmonious with everybody?
