That emotional breakdown by Thirdy says it all! In only indicated his frustration & disappointment on his team's successive loses. Perhaps Thirdy wasn't thinking of his very impressive stats on this game. He just desperately wanted to win & that's all. Maybe Thirdy would rather see himself finishing with only 6 pts for as long his team gets the win than see himself with such impressive stats yet his team ends up with another disappointing loss.

I don’t understand this hate boner for Chet because Chet and Kai have similar body types and both very skilled bigs though Chet has the edge defensively. With Bol Bol and Thon Maker, thin bigs with not so great frames aren’t necessarily making it in the nba\succeeding commonly. Right now Kai has more meat on his bones but it’s not that far and both have a tendency to get pushed around physically.

Alperen Şengün? Unranked last year in all NBA mock draft sites before being selected as the 16th overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder in this year's 2021 NBA draft..

With the NBA expected to push back the 2020 draft amid the coronavirus pandemic, the current quiet period opens the door to scout more for 2021...

I am not hating, im just stating facts. If Kai exchanges places with Chet, where Kai will play against that Longhorn team, those bigs won't stand a chance. On the other hand, if Chet played for ADL against the Taipans, Chet will be bullied and would be insignificant.

They will forever be compared because they are both the same height, same age, and almost the same skillset. Chet will serve as a gauge for Kai all throughout their careers.

Kai real stats yesterday was 7pts at least 8rebounds with those several putbacks and tip-ins then 2 blocks 1 ast

          7pts 8rebs 2blocks 1ast

He block Zimmerman at least once aside from that highlight block ala Gobert.

What will happen if Kai will be ROY of NBL? or maybe top 3? Melo got Roy and I dont know about RJ Hampton's placing. Kai is I think the most impactful rookie/next star so far.

That shows the basketball maturity of Thirdy - this is very important if a team wants to succeed. He does not like empty stats for as long as his team wins. This is the reason why he was the king eagle during his Ateneo days.

              • Are you guys btw satisfied with Kai's current weight? 232 lbs?

I was hoping he'd go up to 250 lbs.

Peak form should be 240-250 Gobert Physique. Current form okay for a 19yr old, no need to rush getting bigger.

NBA DRAFT LOTTERY - MAY 17,2022

NBA DRAFT COMBINE - To be Announced

NBA DRAFT - JUNE 23, 2022 (side note: only 59 picks. bucks forfeited their second round pick because of tampering)

Kai Sotto's last game in NBL this season is on April 24,2022. Assuming Adelaide do not make playoffs.

I think Nba Draft Combine will be around May.

Fiba Asia Cup will be around July 2022.

He was unranked last year because he is an international prospect thus he's not automatically eligible for the 2021 NBA Draft. I believe he only declared in May 2021.

We've discussed this previously , 1st , we're not talking about simply not making mock drafts, but for Kai not being even in the top 100. ( i mean if he was say top 70 and in the radar that's OK, the other things is his ranking is going south from top 50 to out of 100 as he grows older , this isn't good

2nd while seemingly a trivial matter it's significant Seagun is classified as an international prospects , while Kai is a US prospects (having graduated from a US high school) , why does this matter for mock drafts ? in Seagun's case he has the luxuary to defer his entry , so form a predicting point of view most are hesitant to include him for the next year draft as he can wait until he is ready with a good season under his belt (which he did have a good season) . In Kai's case as a US prospect he does not have this luxuary - he is entered next year , so it's all or nothing . So if writers are not including him in the only year that he is eligible to enter (2022) that's a bad sign..

Yeah. I expect Kai to be around 245 to 252 lbs when he reaches 23 or 24. Kai is going to get heavier as he ages, that's almost inevitable.

                            • Why add weight? To get stronger? IMO it might be more beneficial to get more explosive and improve his lateral foostspeed. The way the game is being played right now in the NBA , bigs are getting ran put of the game and are almost unplayable sometimes. Most teams are stocking up on cheap rim running bigs except for a few standouts. The Clips were able to punish the Jazz and the Mavs last playoffs with their speed but met their match with the Suns when they couldn't get Ayton off the floor. I'd be very careful in regards to this of I were Kai

It shows in his game. Even if his stats aren't great he's always giving his all and affects the game not shown in highlights and stat sheets. A team will always have a use for a guy like that
