Main motivation of minor league teams to get promoted to the majors is most likely to get better marketing, bigger stadiums--generally better revenue.

      • That assessed and not qualified were mere fabrications by analyze. He has been wrong countless times and yet acts as if he really knows a lot or that he has insider info. With all the next star signees being unknown and rejects, it would be impossible for Kai to fail that category. The only logical explaination was that EWP's demands was way beyond what NBL would willingly pay for rising stars. The SRP signing of Zhou confirms that and refutes the blabberings of Analyze. Now for analyze insisting that SRP would have its own separate qualifications, that is also just his own opinion and mere fabrications. With his history of Kai, that take is 90% to 100% wrong again.lol

Now we go back to Kai supposed salary, it is almost certain that Kai did really receive a multimillion dollar contract.haha

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

Kiefer & Parks have the experience going for them while I think 1GDL is good enough for a B-league team.
Both Kiefer and Parks have the advantage going in to the b league obviously because they have alreafy played pro unlike Kobe and Javi in B1. They know what its like playing in a pro league. But im not counting Kobe and Javi out to make an immediate impact. They are both different player with equally unique offensive skill set. But out of these two, Kobe will probably show more in terms if scoring and defense. Javi on the other hand will focus in offense rather than defense. My prediction is all our guys might make it to the all star.

They are the most experienced while the rest are still starting out their careers. That’s kinda half-expected.

Hope to see Carl, Balti, and maybe even Go in the B. League.

The guy averaged 3 points with his old b league team..but somehow looks like athletic enough and promising enough to do good with this team..

                    • By the looks of it, you need to be something before you can pass up as an import in a certain league.

NBL Australia - you to have certain extraordinary attributes to make it here. If you have the height, mobility or skills of Kai, Zhou Qi or Liu, you can surely make the cut. Otherwise, you need to be better than Yudai Baba to caught their attention. For me, it is LeBron Lopez-type that make it among our wingmen. Dwight-level two guards could make it here.

KBL - the skillset of players like Tamayo, Baltazar, Dwight, and Parks are the minimum here.

B.League - for as long as you are a good PBA Draft prospect, you can surely make it here.

T1 League - same as those I mentioned in the B.League.

TBL - good role and bench players can make it in this league. Van Opstal, Baguion, Cañada and Cabahug made a career in this league.

The tricky part is the interest from the teams. Even if we believe they can, if no offer comes to the table, it’s but moot. Don’t get me wrong, though. I actually agree on your take, esp on Parks.

Patrick Cabahug has been lost in the conversation. Did he sign for B League or was it just a rumor?

Kaya but who needs a guy like Kiefer when many players in the NBL can do what Kiefs can do? In B.League and PBA, Kiefs is extraordinary but in NBL, he is just an ordinary player due to the surplus of good guards out there. On the idea of Parks to NBL, well, I somewhat agree here. The question, though, is where they will classify Parks and Dwight? Imports or SRPs?

They both will most likely be signed as a SRP but I don’t think they will be classified as imports or marquees like Zhou Qi. I think the NBL would treat Parks like Baba and Baba like Parks had G league experience also. BTW was baba treated like an import or just like Kai? Not really sure for now.

Dwight is a bit tricky, If Liu, who had CBA experience, was a DP, I guess Dwight will be classified like that also.

Nothing against Dwight, but I am just seeing it logically, even if he did look a lot better than Liu in FIBA. He has a good chance of becoming a DP or not, it all depends on which team signs him I guess.

                              • Well the clearest test of this is:
Prior to Gabe Nowood joining the PBA, a NBL team tried to recruit him, but would only sign him if he was classified as a local or Asian. At the time they didn't have the SRP classification yet. The NBL board decided on Gabe's status at the time and stated he can only be classified as an open import. (Was considered an American). With that the team that did wanted to sign him felt he wasn't good enough.
BTW when we say making the Euro top league there are 2 different classification, as an open import competing vs Americans or local (have a Euro passport like Spanish).
In my view there is NO eligible Filipino that is good enough to be an open import in a top 4 European league. Just being honest.

Dwight would be Gabe level, can be a local or SRP for NBL or top Euro league, but can't sign as an open import
