But the impact on players developing (teenagers or college players) is even greater. Cause missing 2 years of development years is essentially the difference between making the higher elite level or not

As example I do not think Padrigao can ever make up the advantage SJ has gained in the last 2 years. . It's too big a gap to be away from competitive basketball for those critical developing years. Missing your freshman and sophomore college years is essentially doom.
Agree with this. That is why those college players who opted not to join Gilas (Well, I can't blame some of them becoz their schools or their handlers prohibit them) are missing a lot. This is a missed opportunity to improve & develop at a crucial stage of a player's career. That is why I feel maiiwan na talaga si Kevin Quiambao ni Carl Tamayo as far as development is concerned. Imagine Tamayo being ranged against the Koreans, Jordanians, Tunisians, Egyptians, etc., while Quiambao has been idle for almost 2 years now.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

they can they just finish it in 2022, they learn their lesson already if theres no wave of covid (which is likely to happen in feb the earliest), then have a tournament when cases at are low..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

Next to the Gilas pool members, it is the Pinoys (Tuffin, Dalph, Gomez and Ravena bros ) based overseas (assuming they're playing) that have a significant advantage compared to the competition inactive , i would even add the younger guys ( like Lopez, Cholo, Jordan, Mason etc) have an advantage , this will be seen when competition resumes back to normal. You will see the players that are active and have improved are better than the inactive and those who not only were stagnant but regressed.

        • BTW despite all the drama around Parks this last 1 1/2 years, at the end he missed a maximum total of just 3 games with TNT ( assuming he signed with them) . really it's nothing .. just a lot of wasted drama...

          • PBA vs Pinoy's in pro leagues

Just for fun, who would win between these two 5's ( PBA pros vs Overseas pros)

            Overseas
            1. Kiefer
            2. Thirdy
            3 Parks
            4 AJ / Kobe
            5 Kai

            Vs

            PBA all stars,,,

Gapare looks like what the nba is looking for right now, probably ends up in the nba. His body though needs development and doesn’t seem like a guy that could pack on pounds though that’s depending on what position he plays.

I think with Tafara it comes down to mental, work ethic and attitude... he's got the talent, it's the mental side if he will make it or not.. (finger cross)

I shared it a few days ago in the Asia cup thread. Ra will easily be a top 5 big in the NBL and arguably a top 3 big, even the Aussies want him to be there. He is a very high-level player. I still don't understand why he did not get an NBA opportunity. Ra can definitely play in the NBL or the NBA.

                          silent killer.

                          adelaide fired/released coach henry?

looks like adelaide recently frequently changing coaches.

                          any news on possible replacements?

So what'll it be guys? Kai Sotto for B League or Euroleague? Hard to imagine the new coach will be as excited for Kai.

BTW the post you were replying to was "Givony" take and top 100 (not mine) , I think you should direct the question to him , to apply for the job, or maybe you're suggesting Givony is using my astirnick? I'm confused why are you asking me and not the writer .
