  • "What do you want kai to do?"

Always, people telling what they think kai should do. Isnt the correct way to ask him politely what HE wants to do?

Are you trolling? Because I don't even know what you are fighting for. Alipin? Are you joking? You're making it seem like Kai is being held hostage. What Analyzed was saying NBL training camp doesn't even start until SEPTEMBER. Check the date now. It's JULY. So what the hell are you even arguing about?

Hindi pa rin ma gets. You ask kai what HE wants to do. Hindi trolling iyan. May limits ang opinionated na fans.

Napakadali namang itanong kay kai sa recorded interview iyan. It's his life. Maybe someone can convince him to play. Maybe he has other things that a regular 19-year would want to do that is not basketball.

You can backread my opinions. Im always supporting kai's nt participation. But he can always have better personal things to do.

So really, how can the PBA go after these players? Maybe our good people in the PBA didn't anticipate this.
Actually, the PBA kinda did with the proposed rule change wherein a player would be banned for 5 years if he refuses an offer from his mother team.

Provided that Navarro and Heading are playing overseas, but their mother teams made an offer they cannot refuse (literally), they might have to go back. Hopefully hindi umabot doon.

So, you are sure then that kai will play in the asian cup? I havent seen that announced. May video clip o web address ka ng certainty?

            • Iyon nga. May confirmation interview na ba kay kai kung maglaro siya sa asia cup ng august? Saan video o webpage link?

I wish too to see him play this august. But i havent seen a news item saying he plays this august. I dont know also what the conditions of the adelaide contract are, and what the limits are of kai's time with the nt.

Right now, it is clear that kai is an adelaide/ ewp investment, and they say what needs to be said.

"It's a dream come true, it's almost a no-brainer when I have an opportunity to play for the men's national team... I've been waiting for this moment. I just kept on working and I just can't wait." - Sotto, speaking to Philstar.com

Kai Sotto reaffirmed his commitment to Gilas Pilipinas, even with his new stint in the Adelaide 36ers of Australia's National Basketball League (NBL).

"We all know that when they say Kai Sotto, they always say that he's the kid who plays for his country," Sotto said in Filipino during an interview organized by Smart on Wednesday.

"That really is my goal, to represent my country in any way possible. Playing for the national team is the top goal for any basketball player or any athlete of their country," he added.

Dramatics... Not really sure what the fuss is all about. The kid loves playing for the National team.. SBP is not holding Kai hostage. Hindi alipin si Kai. Stop it.

As for Kai playing in the FIBA Asia cup. Kai commited way back in April in case you forgot. SBP right now is in talks with EWP and Adelaide about Kai participating in the FIBA Asia Cup. Kai is signed with them afterall. Kailangan mag-paalam. FIBA Asia Cup starts and ends at August 16-28. While NBL training camp starts around September according to Analyzed. There is no conflict of schedule here.

Kai voluntarily gave more than two months of his life to the nt. You cant say the same for pervertly denied pba centers. He even had to play with sj.

He donated time and blood already. Dont chase him. Let him pursue his happiness and career in adelaide.
There is nothing for Kai to go in Austrailia NBL when the training camp doesn't even start until a couple of months from today. Now let me ask you the question again and after you read the articles I sent you.

                  • Just to cut the chance , so there is no guess work here.
Kai's handlers wanr to be like Blatche .. essentially similar conditions to play for whoever , FIBA included..
Everyone's entitled to this , especially in today's wold of professional sports. So yun...

Yes. He's played in the Asia Cup Qualifiers and OQT. This was his numbers.

Only 2 points against gilas in limited minutes.
Overall, he played decent for a 19 year old in the Qualifiers and OQT.

Too bad the Philippine u19 isn't in the 2021 FIBA u19 tournament. Kai would have definitely dominated there.

                      • Here's this assessment on Kai: https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/spor...spondent/story

"Kai Sotto has also shown some interesting glimpses of potential. With size, pace and good mobility, the Las Piñas southpaw has the tools to be a dominating presence in not only Asian, but worldly basketball in the next decade. Still, he has some decisions to make in order to advance his career in a best way possible.

His style, right now, is too much leaning on the modern NBA unicorns such as Kristaps Porzingis, and he spent an uncomfortable – for my liking, at least – amount of time lurking around the midrange and the perimeter. While he still managed to post acceptable averages of 9 points and 4.5 rebounds in his two outings, Sotto must develop an aggressive streak and try and materalize his advantages closer to the rim. Once his inside game gets respect and recognition, he will be able to work on his midrange jumpers as a sidearm in his arsenal. The Australian NBL is a good stepping stone towards accomplishing those goals."

Yep, Kai must develop his inside game. He's willing to bang bodies (which will be further honed by the NBL), but I think he should focus on being finesse first. The power will follow. That said, I agree with the assessment that he should work out his inside game first.

The jumpshot is kinda workable. He shot 82% from the FT line, which is a good sign.

I think for Serbia the game plan was to get Boban out of the paint so the bigs were on the perimeter, but this vid has a shot chart (2:00)and most of Kai’s shots are at the rim, needs better efficiency

The only reason why Kai didnt have a lot of shots inside was because he barely recieve passes near the rim. Also, it is already somehow agreed by everyone that Kai could score against anybody in all levels.

Regarding, Chet Givony has been really overhyping Chet even if he was subpar in my opinion. He didnt include any weakness.lol im waiting for Chet to play bigger and better teams. He struggle against Mali. US team's backcourt is superba and were very long and agile. The coach has been protecting Chet. He plays SF on defense most of the time even if he is the tallest player in their team.

Nothing we cant do about that, its agents job to make situation the best for Chet just like what Eastwest is doing with Kai (ayan having found a way for kai to skipped this draft is a good move by east west)
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                              1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

It is the likes of Givony or the whole DraftExpress were the cause why Chet was labeled as Great White Hope. They will face Senegal tomorrow but somehow Senegal's backcourt is very weak as compare to that of the US. Chet might be protected again because he will play SF.lol it is good to see Ibou Badji against Chet if they would be pitted against each other. Here is the link foe the game. http://www.fiba.basketball/world/u19...7/Latvia-Korea
