Probably would rather have the retirement deals SMC gives its loyal stars.

    • It will be hard for the B.League to "pirate" PBA players, but they definitely can pirate UAAP/NCAA players despite the anti draft-dodging rule. Sooner or later, the anti draft-dodging will be useless as opportunities for bigger and better pay and play abroad opens.

If AUS and NZ will actively scout for Asian imports, the PBA will be facing a problem. Lol

Add to that, it seems that Filipinos who are starting to play overseas are trying to get in their contract that they should be able to play for their NT unlike in the case of the PBA.

Filipinos who dream of playing for the NT should be going overseas because it seems that it will be easier for them to put in their contract that they should be released for NT duties. Hindi naman secreto na isa sa mga dream ng Filipino players eh makasali sa NT.

Just imagine the possible audience if the PBA does what the B.League is doing. If they get Prastawa, Grahita amd/or Jakrawan as Asian imports and push for marketing the league in Indonesia and Thailand, the PBA will have more money from broadcasting rights

Agreed with uaap still uncertain and with no contract obligations, it should be easier for them. I can see even parks getting medianattention since he has no contract obligations now, but can't get a release from the pba.

It will be funny that the likes of JGDL, thirdy and possibly Balti, Dwight, Dave can get paid much much higher vs the top stars.

        • Will rest on following Gilas for now just like the team will rest hehe. Will follow again once fiba cup starts. But before that, i just want to make an opinion on Kai. Kai "NEED MORE TOUCHES" and be the focal point of offense.

Hopefully our guards will learn how to pass to him. Kai is seen really asking for the ball but our guards dont know how to pass the ball to him. He has decent shooting and can drive and knows pick and roll plays.

And he is decent passer and can be a decoy. I notice that our opponents respect him and even double team him.

Anyway, will pray for his success and good health. God bless you and guide you always to Kai and to team gilas Pilipinas. Keep working hard and stay safe.

Dalph Panopio seems to be wanting to join Gilas. I hope we get him. He's a steady PG and a great passer with high BBIQ and he seemed to play well with Kai back in the Youth Teams, connecting several alley-oops or drop passes to the post. He'll be a huge upgrade to our PG spot.

            • Here is the replay of USA vs Turkey. Chet is not the great white hope.lol he will be the great white disappointment. I am not being salty but he is way overhype by the white mock draft writers.Haha He should be mid first round to late first. He cant be durant. The real heir to durant is emoni bates. Chet is too slow to be an sf and his drives wont always be effective against bigger opponents. This U19 will expose him big time. Chet would be more slower as he try to add weight. His been clanking threes.lol he will be a stretch big in the NBA and would just end up a rotational player. Yung mga nageexpect na si Kai dapat always monster numbers sa senior NT.haha manuod kayu kay chet holgrem sa U19 and he is consensus mock draft number 1.haha iiyak tung si chet pati haters if magkakatapat sila ni Kai.lol

Partida pa yan Chet has way better PGs and teammates than Kai. If Kai would be in Chet shoes, they will all love him because he makes everyone better.

Edu was always a willing passer while Anj doesn't have it in him. He is used to being the recipient of passes. Kai has been so great to Anj as a teammate. Kai has made everyone better on both ends. All in all kai was really our best player. He is team's best screener, best passer without Dwigth, taps rebounds to teammates, best defensive big in terms of disruption. Opponents offense would clearly change if Kai is inside. Lesser penetration and post plays.

With how Chet perform against tougher competition, I really dont see why Kai cant be a lottery pick.haha NBA teams aren't mock draft writers. Kai could impact the game on both ends. He can even be a Rudy Gobert but he wont exert that much effort as him on the defensive because Kai also preserves his energy on the offensive end. Kai clearly showed that he cant be abuse by guards, can defend PNR's and also can stand his ground against bigger post players.

                • 17 y.o. Victor Webenyama, 7'2 with his 7'8 wingspan and superior skills, is head over heels better than Holmgren.

chet is too weak and too frail. He looks like kai at 16yrs old. He is allergic to contact. Cant even boxout. Turkey calls post plays against chet.haha pickups his dribble when bumped while driving and the bump could stop him on his tracks. Isn't really deadshot with his 3s but infairness good form. With his physique, it would be too hard for him in the NBA. The well physique Euro stretch PFs would be better than him. I cant even see him playing like Ryan Anderson because it would be too hard for him to gain weight and every additional weight would slow him down.

Sunog na sunog bro wnox.hahaha yung mga bandwagon na haters ni kai na umaasa sa mga writers nakakatawa.haha kung ako ang nba team kahit sa 1st round I wont draft chet. His body is too weak and his too frail.

                          • Hindi tayo nakasali sa U-19 this year?

Trans: we didn't qualify for u-19?

                            • I have it hand it to Peezones. He said Chet was too weak and he was right. U19 na yang mga kalaban niya, he should be pushing them around (or even outmaneuvering them) but all he can do is emulate Makur Maker and clank his shots because he has not enough strength and body control to drive against the bigs.

nba mock drafts will significantly change a year from now, with d prospects finally playing pro or college ball. chet's stock can drop depending on how he fares.

raw as he is, he will play in gonzaga which is one of d best college programs so expect improvement. plus, he will learn from big timme.

kai will have one season of pro ball to get stronger and polish his game and will have pro bigs to mentor him, significant improvement is likewise expected.

needless to say, kai's NBL season will make or break his NBA stature for 2022.
