Kai playing in Europe, or in Japan or in China or in Australia or even in the PBA would be fine for me. But playing in Thailand? A big NO! I won't even think of it. Kai won't gain anything from it except money."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

It seems to be a completely EWP blunder. 2 poor performances in scrimmages and they're scared s**t that Kai won't get drafted. They should have been patient as Kai grows in the 15 games of Ignite. He will get his touches as he and his teammates get to know each other. But they choose Gilas to impress the scouts with three games against Korea and Indonesia.
Can't blame others for breaking down with how emotionally invested they are with Kai's NBA journey.
PeeZones will be Anonymous 123 version 2 with the way things are going.
Find 5 7'3 prospect who could move and as skilled as Kai. If Todd would be drafted, for sure Kai would also be drafted. Kai was paid twice than what Todd and kai was assess with higher upside. Ano tingin mo sa NBA scouts katulad mo magisip? KMART JR only played AAU ball and was drafted. Kai's drafting isn't dependent on those games but on his potential and upside. Walang magbabayad ng pera kay Kai kung wala yang kwentang player.
You dont compare him to previous prospects who failed. You could find thousands of Kobe, Parks, Japeth all over the world but you rarely find 7'3 as agile and skilled as Kai. Kaya yang mga rants mu walang kwenta. Keep it to yourself.

Kai gotta be a Shark now, he must continue forward... KAI must "PLAY" he must produce an "actual PRO 5v5 game setting" which scouts and devt. coach of (houston&spurs) can screen and evaluate if he really worth their "Project Player/Pick" this coming NBA DRAFT2021 (most likely) Aug/Sept.
Urgent question is, where should he be next?
easy answer would be this coming PBA Conference under them GILAS GUEST TEAM, this would run around APRIL to JULY and with 11 to 18 solidgames, hopefully it would suffice enough for an NBA Team to get and choose him as their project player...

Here we go again with toxicity"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. As if they been posting with decency, how could he say that kai's believer would breakdown. Was that proper?
His post and others here who always insist that it was just a marketing ploy that Kai played for gilas was really far from reality. The only reason Kai and EWP played for gilas was mainly because they will EARN FROM THAT STINT. Also, they have deep connections with SBP. To question their decision of earning is absurd, Kai is technically the bread winner of his family.

As Daleo said kai has unlimited potential. He will be drafted because of that tremendous upside. Problema sa iba dito mas marunong pa kaayu sa real experts and wala kayung bilib sa bata. Pagmay nagappreciate ng skils ni kai dito you ganged up on them. Pinoy nga naturingan CRAB naman.
Puro lang negativity and criticism wala namang naitulong.

Automatic eligibility
Players whose 19th birthday falls during or before the calendar year of the draft, or at least one year removed from the graduation of their high school class, and who do not meet the criteria for "international" players are automatically eligible if they meet any of the following criteria:
-They have completed four years of their college eligibility.
-If they graduated from high school in the U.S., but did not enroll in a U.S. college or university, four years have passed since their high school class graduated.
-They have signed a contract with a professional basketball team outside the NBA, anywhere in the world, and have played under that contract. They also must be released from their contract before they can leave college to go to the NBA
Those who have reached the minimum eligibility age of 19 and meet the criteria for "international" players are automatically eligible if they meet any of the following criteria:
-They are at least 22 during the calendar year of the draft.
-They have signed a contract with a professional basketball team outside the NBA within the United States, and have played under that contract.
