  • gotta give props for Tamayo's defense on Warney but 3-11 was nasty, that's 8 fgs that he failed to convert in 26 minutes, everything seems to be in favor of SK, including the refs helping pace the game so Sakers won't build momentum lol but Carl still missed some really easy baskets and passed up on a few open shots, especially under the rim.

ah you finally watch a KBL game featuring carl tamayo.

Yeah, but only the 2nd half of that game. A game where Tamayo struggled offensively but I think he played good defense against the import of the opposing team.

          • Any chance Carl might get the KBL mvp? Statiscally wise, Alvano got the MVP last season averaging 15.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.5 steals. Carl right now has like 15ppg, 6rpg, 2apg after this game.
I think a couple of 30pt games might help him reach that award.

            • May I ask who among the South Korean local big men who average around 12 to 17 pts per game so far in the KBL?

Lee Weonseok averages around 11 pts/game.

Also veteran national team 6-foot-7 power forward Lee Seounghyun averages around 10 pts/game, veteran NT 6-foot-9 center Kim Jungkyu averages only 5 pts./game, 6-8 big man Kang Sangjae registers around 6 pts./game, while 6-foot-8 combo forward Choi Joon Young (yung mejo mayabang na South Korean national team player) averages 15.2 pts/game.

Average points-wise, Tamayo is better than some of the elite local big men in the KBL. And we are talking here of a player who will only turn 24 a week from now.

If he's playing in the PBA right now what kind if stats do you think he'll be averaging? Is he better or at par with current Tolentino, a similar player?

I think if he's playing for teams like Perraperma, Blackwater, NLEX, he would be averaging around 15 to 18 pts/game. If he plays for teams like Ginebra, SMB, TnT, ROS, I expect him to average around 11 to 14 pts/game in All-Filipino Conference.

                        • Nice come from behind win by LG Sakers over KCC Egis, 83-78. LG Sakers coming up with big shots at end game while KCC Egis seemed to have choked.
