    2-3-4

Realistic: a 3 with okayish handles.

Wish ko lang: a 2 like Madanly

Yeah. Realistically, KQ can play the 3.

KQ playing the 2? That would be a bit of stretch in my opinion. Maybe if KQ started to train & play as a wingman when he was 18 or 19, he might be able to play that position.

Talking about versatility, Justin Brownlee can play both the 3 & 4 positions with relative ease. I think if you ask JB to play as a 2-guard, he won't have much of a problem. That's becoz JB got enough reps playing as a wingman. JB's handles, laterals, mobility are that of a natural wingman.

The same could not be said on guys like KQ, Jamie Malonzo & Troy Rosario.

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

      • Do KBL have a live stats for every game? Hard to find the stats for our players lol. Compare to BLeague who has a live stats for every game.

Thanks, still can't see KQ in the boxscore though. Maybe not updated yet.

              • I only brought up the fact that Cone doesn't let KQ bring up the ball and defends the 2nd-shortest player on the opposing team. Is that still a 3 the same way Gabe Norwood was? At the FIBA level, all players have to at least make open corner threes or make any open shot for that matter... which we saw KQ do last year with ease when bundled with bigger players (Heading at the 1, Andre Roberson at the 3, McKenzie Moore at the 4 but not his natural position, and Dwight Howard at the 5).

I'm pretty sure he wasn't included in Gilas because of his shooting... it's because at age 23, there's still time to train his body to guard multiple positions given his height and his wingspan. How that translates to the KBL are just repetitions and habits. He's played a game and a half, some KBL expert tweets he's a tweener, so we compare him to Caidic who's never played outside the PBA, never really faced world class competition (Jones Cup '84 as if Joe Wolf is better than Patrick Ewing), and played in an era where Joey Loyzaga guarded centers. Give KQ time.

He maybe taller than the usual 2 in the 1980s But he’s still the 2 as you can see how he positions and moves on the court.
Yes, same with what I witnessed. I'll take his word for it (not to mention actual players and coaches agree). If the greatest shooting wing says he's a shooting guard, then that's what I'll consider him.

Guys don't even know that a lot of times, there are players that are playing on the court at the same time who have the same "labeled" position. At any given time there can be 2 PGs, 2 SGs, 2 SFs, etc on the floor at the same time. There's no rule saying you can only have one at a time.

Heck Kai and JMF plays together so what does that make Kai now? Kai's taller so maybe JMF is the PF, but wait JMF is slow so he's the C...it's asinine.

                  • This Sono team would have been on the higher part of the standings if they managed to lure KQ to play for them from the very start of the season. KQ just seems to make this team look better, he has 15 pts already with a quarter to go. He is scoring some double digits with terrible shooting as hell, I expect him to score an easy 20 pts if he is back with his usual shooting percentage.

Quite arrogant of U to describe people who doesn't agree with your opinion as an asinine. Do U expect everybody's opinion/view will agree with yours?

I was just saying that during the 90's the Allan Caidic who played for the Philippine team played mostly at the 3 position or the small forward spot & I have proof for that. I never said that Caidic never played as a 2-guard or shooting guard. That's why I said, Caidic probably played mostly as a 2-guard during his stints with the RP-NCC & perhaps during his Great Taste & Presto Tivoli days.

Remember that basketball during the 90's was different from this modern day game where players are more versatile & flexible. At that time the term "position less basketball" did not yet exist.

The act of pigeonholing players is asinine, not necessarily the people.

The Kai/JMF example answers your question. One of them is "labeled" as the PF when they play together. But we all know they're both centers.

                              • First quarter, kept trying to shoot and iso a lot, didn’t really work out. His handle isn’t great and he’s also slow, even with screens defenders can catch up to him and he isn’t an efficient self creator from the perimeter. after coming off the bench he was playing more within the system. Noticeable how his length bothered players and he got plenty of deflections.
