It will probably be alive when KQ moves.

    • It is not just KQ. We will have more as more players realize that the PBA is just an another option for great players compared to years ago when it was "the only game in town."

      • Caelum is having a rough start to his college career right now. The playing minutes seem to be off, for sure. But looking at the other stats, it seems like he's not performing very well overall. I'm not very familiar with how NJCAA compares to the NCAA, but for someone who committed to a Division I NCAA team, he should be doing better. Not necessarily dominating, but at least performing decently. Otherwise, that spot at Nevada might slip through his fingers.

        • i saw the JD cagulangan to korea rumors. not sure if that makes sense, jd is too small for his playstyle to work overseas. we saw that in dubai with mighty sports. or maybe it work against softer korean defenders, up played a couple of tune-ups against kbl teams and scouts prolly saw something there

He might slip down to Div2 or another lower tier Div1 team that's not top 50.

UAAP teams must be licking their lips right now

I really don't like the idea of our FilAms with potential committing to the UAAP teams anymore. Players like Jacob, Zain, and Alex at least have starter caliber, maybe even in other teams. But I think they deserve more minutes than what they’re getting right now with their current teams. I was hoping they'd get playing time similar to Jared Bahay or maybe a little lower, not just sitting on the bench for long periods. Kung mabangko din pala sila dito, sana pala nag-stay na lang sila sa US with their Div2 offers at least. Mas mabuti pang mabangko sa US college basketball kesa sa Pinas, lol.

But with the money they got from signing with the teams, maybe it’s worth it. Other than that, if the school only offered them a scholarship, what’s the real difference between playing here and in the US? US NCAA Div 2 >>>>>>> any collegiate leagues here in the country.

if a team is interested then I hope they give him a shot. it doesnt matter what we think. these players are playing hard to land good contracts. if he proves doubters wrong, well then and good. if he plays and he doesn't do well, atleast he was given the chance. and I hope he learns from it and be better moving forward.

                      Sir lemon,

in my own personal observation, it's a two-way thing.

in fairness to Jacob Bayla, Zain Mahmood and Alex Konov, also I would like to add AJ' younger bro and Jayden Jones as well

all are Gilas eligible for the Senior level.

they are still in the freshmen year and still adjusting for the domestic landscape

hopefully during next year's pre-season tournaments and before the start of S88 they are already well adjusted (honeymoon days are over)

except for Zain, who are literally no PT for this season,

Jacob and Alex are playing their natural pos and for me that's a good thing even just for a spot mins. for this S87

I don't think there potentials will be compromise moving forward

now let's talk about those hafus with potentials but still not ineligible for now

the likes of 6'7 Guard 18 yr. old Thomas Batties of Harvard Univ., 6'5 Guard 19 yr. old Travis Roberts of Jacksonville States, 7'1 Center 20 yr. old Sage Tolentino of UNC-Asheville and 6'8 19 yrs. old(?) Small Guard Kymani Ladi of Merritt College in California who now eligible to play S88 for ADMU

All are now on their Sophomore and Juniors season respectively are a perfect example to max out their collegiate basketball career(2 or 3 years?) either in UAAP or NCAA

I'm not discounting nor belittling the talent level of those hafu kids they had the potential to play in our National team but if we compared them to the likes of Dylan Harper, JJ Mandaquit, Trey Pinkard, Jaland Lowe, Vyc Miller among others, you Guys know what I'm saying.

the path that Kai Ballungay, Chris Koon, Xav Lucero, QMB, Devin Fikes and others had taken,

for me that's the "Rule of Thumb" moving forward.

                            • He's a freshman,he needs a period of adjustment and he's gotta earn his minutes,he just can't take minutes from junior and seniors.
